Aluminum driveshaft acceleration improvement?

Anyone on here installed a one-piece aluminum or carbon driveshaft? If so, any acceleration improvements?

My friend just put an alum ds on his 14 and said it accelerates a little bit better and feels like less rotational mass.

thats true.. i think in one of the threads it said that it weighed less than the stock drive shaft.

is it necessary to get the driveshaft when going FI or are the axles and clutch good enough. thanks

We've seen some destroyed OEM Driveshafts when using some sticky tires at the strip.

Any increase in NVH? I am really trying to avoid any increase in NVH on my 15's but on my 12(I have had both the CF and aluminum DSS) it amplified the noise coming from the rear end .
A local friend with an automatic/12 that runs low 10's still has his stock drive shaft so may see what happens at least with my auto.

Below is what happened to my DSS CFF(twice!)on my 12(manual) making 780 rwhp and 740 lbs/ft torque, when I dumped the clutch at 5000 rpm :(

DSS were great though and replaced the first failed one with another CF. When the second one failed I asked for an aluminum(so far so good)
