So, if I want the big touch screen AND the nice recaro's, I have to go with an R + the electronics package?

Based on what's in the ordering guide we have, yes. To get Recaro seats and the fancy electronics with it all being factory built you have to go R and electronic package.

It would be really cool if they had a leather recaro option. Don't really care about heated and cooled seats but its a nice addition.

Maybe if the backrest and the seat center were suede leather and the bolsters were smooth leather they would be more practical from a functional perspective in this car....

Otherwise if you're constantly slipping out of the seat during a high G load because of the smooth leather it does nothing to help you drive.

love my base gt seats, lots of grip. Granted I will at some point but custom leather/suede in my GTPP for cars shows.

If you are getting an R, Recaros are your only seat option. If you want NAV, you need the optional electronics package.

If you AREN'T getting an R but want Recaros, just don't get the Tech package. I'm ordering a non-R with Track Pack and Electronics Pack. This way I get it all: Recaros, AC, NAV, Magnaride, and back seat.

IIRC the Electronics Pack is only for the R. The standard GT350 has the Track Pack and Tech Pack.

Just looked at the order guide again. You're correct. That's not cool. They need to offer that Electronics package for the non-R. They are forcing us to choose one over the other and that makes no sense.
I get what you mean but they don't need to offer an electronics package on the non-R, what you (and many others) want is for the recaros to be an option with the tech package.

^Well, that's only if the exterior Spoiler is not a deal breaker as well.

My 2 cents....since these are basically accessories and options, we should be able to mix it up any way we want. Offer a base GT350 and list all the accessories and options on a checklist. Which would be more intuitive and allow the buyer to walk away with the feeling of actually choosing the build they want instead of settling for what they're pushing.

This format also is more in tune with the online customize approach. But, being that the direct buy model was basically pulled out from under them by the Dealerships ..... you're stuck with them doing it in a way that is more effective for dealers who place inventory orders.

Again another reason to think the dealers shot themselves in the foot and mucked it up for the rest of us.

I would love to have the ability to add any options I want. Reminds me of the Porsche configurator. It would be cool to almost have a one of one gt-350 speced the way we want.

^Ford tried to go in this direction. The Dealership Franchises fought against it and ...here we are now.

Buying a car the way they want to sell it instead of the way we really want it.
