Not really an apples to apples comparison if you ask me. If anything this should be a SCT vs Hypertech box, and not Lund vs Bama.

Again, you have 100% no idea what your speaking about. Not really an apples to apples comparison if you ask me. If anything this should be a SCT vs Hypertech box, and not Lund vs Bama.
Then why was Lund telling people to buy the HyperTech box?no
Tune is the same no matter which device we use
Because when SCT was released, they couldn't tune properly through the x4Then why was Lund telling people to buy the HyperTech box?
I ended up losing ~3hp from the original Bama canned tune. AM and Bama totally stepped up when they found out. With Alex's help, Paul and I spent the next 2 weeks datalogging and tweaking over e-mail. In the end I was showing a 16hp gain, tuned to the best readily available pump gas in my area.To play the Devil's Advocate, I remember there was a guy on here earlier on who received a bama tune and had nothing but problems. In fact the Bama main man ended up paying him a visit to help get things sorted. So, there can be hiccups/one off scenarios with anyone, I guess.
That's the thing. Be patient. Everything doesn't happen overnightI ended up losing ~3hp from the original Bama canned tune. AM and Bama totally stepped up when they found out. Well said. That's the thing. Be patient. Everything doesn't happen overnight

You make me want to tune my 5.0 so much.. I'm not sure the gains of a CAI and catback are really worth losing a warranty over though :shrug:so far so good with this pickup

So does this mean I can get an updated tune from him that's going to be better than the one I got 3 months ago?I apologize that Lund was going to be out of town for a week supporting a lot of customers at the texas mile event where again, they tuned 6 of the fastest cars in the world. I don't think bama had a car there.
Lund puts a lot of time and effort in to support the people that spend money with them, and they want them happy, and they also spend money traveling to things like this to support those that have spent $$ with them.
As per their conversation, they were working on some new updates for all the rev matching for the guys that really wanted to take advantage of the paddle shift / sport modes, and the testing was going on with their in house vehicles along with vehicles that had new pcm codes.
All that has now been done and completed, a simple wait for a week would have gotten your tune dialed in just as they said it would.
The same tune we can now deliver to the x4 devices as well with Lunds latest round of updates.
Once the cars start hitting the tracks as well. You will see the difference in the tunes starting to shine, ESPECIALLY, the auto cars
The fact that he is using 2 different devices to do the "same thing" with the "100%" same tune, which we both know its not, tells me that their maybe an issue with the device itself since the first time his car got grounded. Which is why I said this should be a comparison of devices rather than companies, because if the tunes are the same it sure as hell wasnt the tune that grounded his car now was it? Which leaves the only other option as the device itself. Him coming on here and blaming a company for something that could have been related to the device isnt right.Again, you have 100% no idea what your speaking about.
Let the guys that handle the lund tuning answer the questions.
The tune on the 2 devices is 100% identical.
There were issues with the tune, that would have been on either device, those issues are now corrected.
