Got private cash after order placed

I received a private cash coupon in the mail just three days after agreeing on a price and placing my order. I am going to contact the dealer about applying it since I obviously haven't actually purchased the vehicle yet, but curious if this happened to anyone else too and what their experience was. Terms indicate "from dealer stock". Anyone have issues still using it with an order? The offer also expires May 31, which is exactly 8 weeks after the order was placed...presumably making it theoretically possible I will get the car by then. But just in case, anyone have success "locking in" the private cash even if the car actually arrived after the expiration date?

Ford lets you take the rebates available on the day your ordered the car, or the rebates available on the day you take delivery. Rebates that come and go in the interim can NOT be protected. If your car doesn't arrive by May 31st you're out of luck. I recommend that you order a brochure (or two, or three) from ford.com in about a month and hope for another private cash coupon with an expiration date further out into the future.

Ordering brochures doesn't guarantee a coupon. Ford randomly sends coupons with a small percentage of brochures. I know a fair number of people who've received multiple coupons this way.

I think it's BS that there is a coupon that is "randomly" given out to people. It should be available to all unless it is an employee discount or A/X/Y/Z Plan thing....... If it is out there, and people sign up for their bullcrap marketing emails and mail correspondence everyone should be getting one. Especially when we hear that some people get multiple ones and some people get NONE.

I have never got a single brochure

I've ordered a bunch of brochures since December and haven't received one yet either.

I received one after I initially received a brochure with nothing. Brochure only came first and then 3 weeks later, the second packet came with the "cash". I only requested once. My guess is that it is based on zip code? Perhaps they send them to people who live in places where they are looking to drum up more sales. Although if you request via email, they wouldn't know where you live, so just a guess.

Yeah, I think it is based on location. But I guess someone would have to do a survey.
