mbrp - shipping issues - updated with response.

Just got my replacement MBRP cat back ... It's bent just like my other one , box torn open and both mufflers dented , H pipe dented ..:rant:

Ouch indeed. Was it packed like OP's just tossed in there (MBRP's fault) or some foam/cardboard (and it was the shippers fault)

they told me to keep the first exhaust, and they're sending a full 2nd set and i can do whatever I want with the first setup. guess someone will get a cheap set from me 2nd hand assuming my 2nd set comes in not fucked up.

did they personally email you and talk to you? i feel like beefcake might have just ordered you another before mbrp had addressed the shipping issue.

I talked to Beef both times and he said sent pictures of the damage to MBRP both times ... So they know they have a packing problem .. This time Beef is sending me the axle back Roush system and refunding the difference in price .. I have both of the damaged MBRP setting in my home that I'm sending back ...One has a return UPS tag and the other doesn't yet have a return tag ... For all the crap I have been though they should let me keep one of them .. addle: I'm already out of my time , money and packing tape repacking all this junk to send back .. Setting around waiting for UPS cost me money .. I have other things I need to be doing like making MONEY !! And end the end for all my trouble I get a axle back system and not a full system and pay almost the same money ..

Just doesn't seem fair to me .. :shrug:

How come no one goes with Gibson since there the same price and better packaging for shipping I would think. This packaging deal is the only reason why haven't ordered my exhaust but now leaning towards Gibson or the Roush axle backs. I just don't want a raspy system

Apparently the Gibson has terrible drone. There are a few threads floating around in which its discussed. I'd say go with the Roush.

These are the dings my exhaust had. The muffler one is about a nickel in diameter. One of the H pipe ones is pretty small but you can see the other is pretty noticeable. The missing paint is my doing as I fitted it into the muffler potion to make sure it fits. Mine hasn't been a deal breaker, but I wasn't thrilled by MBRP'S shitty shipping methods.

Yeah, I don't believe it would kill MBRP to package these systems better. Couple extra bucks for some good pack/wrap material...they could even add it to the price BFD.
Why they would want to lose potential customers over this crap is beyond me?

This is crazy. I like this system and want to buy it now! Just the shipping is killing me. If I was guaranteed quality shipping I would even pay a few extra bucks. Started listening to other exhaust may go elsewhere still

This is true. They were all shipped UPS yes? They are notorious for this type of issue.

It's not UPS. My ARH system came via UPS, 71 pounds in the box, without a ding. It's all in the packaging

My H-Pipe was dented just like yours!!! Multiple holes in the box upon delivery too. Even holes through the main box, through one of the tip boxes.

My h-piple was the same way. The installer was able to straighten it out though so it wasn't the end of the world.

I agree they should package better. My focus ST MBRP came perfectly from them.

I read that update this morning, however that customer did not contact us direct, and got one from the same vendor as well. So hard for me to control.

We have ensured there is more than adequate foam in this one (and as well re-packed all in house ones) The hard part will be if any others went to distributors and maybe had not quite enough packing

You should see it Tuesday based on the fedex website

Just a follow up ... I got my Roush axle back exhaust today ... Guess what ? Yup , one of the tail pipes poked a hole in the box and bent the end of the pipe ... It was packed well but my guess UPS caused this problem .. I'm keeping it and will take it to a exhaust shop and have them make the pipe round again ...

That fu-king sucks man sorry to hear that. This is why I'm scared to order my exhaust. Hope the shop can fix it, but still now you have to go out of your way for something that should be no problem.
