So seems the better half took my car to the store.. Somehow she scratched up my PP Rims.. Anyone know the paint code for the rims???
Looks like I'll need to sand down some spots on lip, and on one spoke got marred up.

Thanks for any info and tips.

That's exactly why my wife does not ever drive my car. :)

My wife doesn't know how to drive a manual, so no worries for me. :D

That would be a good excuse to have them stripped and powder coated gloss black!

What are these 'repercussions' and where can i buy some.
So what are the repercusions that your wife knows and expects?
How did you communicate them to her?
How were they received? ;)

Chip...all things aside with regards to spousal remedial training, your Ford service representative should be able to track down the specific paint codes for the wheels or send a request through this forum to Ford Service for assistance on this. Media blasting and powder coating is a viable but potentially costly option as someone previously mentioned. Good luck with the wheels AND the remedial driver training:cheers:

I once scraped a wheel on a new "vette. It was an aluminum clearcoated wheel. I priced one from GM and when the shock wore off, I carefully sanded out the scrape and got the finish to match.Put some clear back on the area and it was unnoticeable.
Dont get discouraged and take your time.

When I took my car to get the calipers painted, somehow they managed to scratch one of my rims. They at first denied any wrongdoing and pointed out to me that something "yellow" scratched the rim due to the paint transfer. When I realized it was their lift that was yellow that scratched it they repaired it. Looks good as new.

I got a minor 1 inch scrape on my PP wheel myself. I bought the standard black touch up paint from the local ford dealership and it is an exact match on the wheel.

I didn't bother to do any sanding since it was relatively minor and even if I tell you which wheel it is it would take at least 10 secs before you find it in direct sun. No need for a full refinishing
