Battery dead.... how do I open the door with key?

Where does one find said manual? Is there a hidden compartment somewhere that it's stored in?

Or you can manually unhook the battery to prevent it from being drained. Use the manual key to open and pop the hood when you come back

One solution is the good old fashioned batery tender. However that would help being parked remotely from your garage.

Back in the day...I used to have on one of my vehicles an after market battery disconnect terminal. Of course it required you to have to cut the OEM connection, install the new end unit. But you were able to turn a switch on top of the new connection which disabled the connection from having positive contact with the terminal.

Not saying that I'm getting one...just floating it out there.

The fucker wouldn't start while jumping the battery with my GTI. Called Ford Roadside Assistance and they came to jump battery. The car started and drove for 20 minutes, parked. Dead battery again. :frusty:

All seriousness, let it idle for 10 minutes then drive around for at least 30. Always seems to work for me. Could be something completely different for you though. Not sure
