Because the Sto N Sho hangs so low, I've snagged the bottom of my plate on a pile of frozen snow shoved in a parking stall, then Saturday, again on a friends steep driveway. If I hadn't had plastic screws/bolts holding on the plate it would've possibly destroyed the Sto N Sho bracket or worse, damage the part where it's attached to the car.

It's hard judging how close the car is to curbs, or whatever...Getting a curb alert installed this Friday on mine.

I use the cheap Black Plastic Nylon Plate Bolt & Nuts sold at places like Wal-Mart or a parts store.

They pop/break before serious damage can occur.

Sorry to hear abou this. I went with the Craig bracket because I preferred the plate loacation.
