We wanted to chime in and apologize for not seeing this thread sooner.

We are terribly sorry to hear that the OP bolts rusted. Unfortunately things do rust, it certainly does not mean that they are defective - case in point brake rotors.

In regards to customer service, we have reviewed the phone call and is seems the OP actually hung up on our sales rep before he had a chance to say goodbye (at least as far as we can tell - we certainly apologize if this is not the case) . We assume he was upset and we certainly understand. He did however provide some time on the phone and offered some solutions. We apologize that those solutions were not enough and we have our purchasing dept. checking into adding a stainless steel bolt to help make the product better.

Customer service is VERY important to us. We have a A+ Rating with the BBB and 100% feedback on sites such as Ebay since 2004. Unfortunately we cannot make everyone happy but we will always try. Unfortunately the person in sales who took the call was not able to offer free product that we simply do not have, a request for a Manager however in regards to customer service would have quickly resolved this issue.

Touching base on some other things:

One member asked if the tubing would rust, the answer is NO. They are made from aluminum.

One member stated we were being un-truthful saying that we hold the world record. This is 100 incorrect. MMR currently holds MANY world records, one of them being the worlds fastest 5.0 coyote, this can be found documented in every magazine and forum across the world. Bottom line, we have held and still hold MANY world records.

Moving forward, as we stated above we are looking into a stainless bolt instead of the black oxide bolts currently used, for those that have the current bolts a touch of WD 40 on the bolts will prevent rust. We will add the stainless bolts as soon as possible and will make a thread letting people know that they are std. and we can also replace bolts for those that currently have the kits, simply send a request and we will get them out no charge. We appreciate the input of the members here and we are very sorry that the OP felt he was given poor customer service. We have also sent the OP a PM asking if we can do anything to make his experience any better.

Its water under the bridge at this point, our goal is to resolve and make the product better in the process. We have now added stainless bolts to all kits and will replace free of charge anyone that would like the new stainless bolts.

Our pleasure, our apologies for being late to respond and more importantly our apologies on the choice of bolts, we never considered the bolts rusting and it was a oversight on our end!

Regardless, problem solved and we want to make it up to the OP who we are working with.

Whining abou bolts rusting. My god the world is full of.............

To the rusty bolt guy, the bolts on your mustang will rust, do you expect ford to send you stainless bolts?

Do you complain to ford when the brake pads wear out?

Call ford and complain that your tires are wearing out.

Thanks to companies like mmr, jlt, steeda I don't have to make my own air inlets anymore.

Pretty stand up of mmr on something that should have been a non issue. Climb under your car. Besides a, stainless bolts do not have the same strength and capabilities as ones that will rust. Ever consider that, rusty bolt guy?

MMR, you went above and beyond. I wouldn't have been so nice lol

Not helping anyone's cause. Just don't say anything... I hold my tongue when I see people complain about certain things or when the same question gets asked over and over. Why? No one likes a jerk and you contribute nothing to the community by being one.
