Okay I'm sorry for making this thread, I know everyone has their own opinions on things, but I seriously cannot make up my mind here. I have $900 to put towards a CAI and tuner. I would like a Lund tune after reading all the positive reviews.

On one hand you have the SCT X4, which can datalog but doesn't put in a full tune, and on the other you have the Hyperbox which can't datalog but gives a fuller tune. I was thinking of getting one of the power packs from lethalperformance.com which offers the JLT and a X4 with a Lund tune. I know there has been talk and waiting of the nguage, but no one knows when it will release or the price, and I am a bit impatient. Also on the lethal power pack you can upgrade to the Livewire TS for an extra $200, which puts the kit a bit out of my price range, but I can't seem to get an answer if the livewire has the same parameter limitations that the X4 has.

Then you also have the Steeda intake coming out. Not sure if it is worth waiting on and the price difference over the JLT and X4 power pack that Lethal provides.

Not familiar with Hyperbox, but if it can't datalog then how can you accurately tune?
And Livernois does not have problems with parameters

That's because livernois uses the hyperbox. The hyperbox can just write a more indepth tune from what I understand, but can't datalog. Nguage does both, but again no clue when it's coming out and I don't want to wait...

I'd go with the JLT and Lund tune. I know the SCT software isn't as in-depth as the Hyperbox, but Lund can still produce an amazing tune for you with it.

i think eventually sct will open up more, we can do whatever you like, and we are constantly evolving the tunes.

There really isn't a right or wrong answer

I know, I'm just incredibly indecisive. Also can't decide if I want to wait the extra two weeks for the steeda cai.

I had SCT and Lund and just swapped out for the Hyperbox. The basic canned tune with JLT was ok, but as soon as I added headers the limitations starting showing and it was attributed to the SCT. I'll get the nGage once it's available if there if I can find a real benefit to it.

So theoretically, I could get the Hyper box, tune my car with it, then down the road if I decide to get the nguage sell the Hyper box and get the nguage? Or once you use a tuner on a vehicle is that it, it's programmed to that vehicle and you can't resell it?

You can resell. You just have to throw your factory tune back on your vehicle and divorce the device from your car. Then it's ready to be sold. People sell SCTs all the time.

Thanks Vile. Guess I'll decide tomorrow afternoon, so far Hyper box is winning poll.
