Oh I'm reading your perspective ... And I respect everyone's right to do as they please.

Again...I'll gladly take/accept money from anyone willing to throw it away.

That's coming from the school of common sense... definitely not a commune.

Thanks Hack.

Cheers.

I've already given you lots of reasons but you just ignore what I've said.

I'm going to do whatever I want to do for my reasons and I think it is beautiful that everyone else has that right too.

I don't want to join your commune and I don't agree with your philosophy.
I'm drinking the just say no to ADM Kool-Aid!

I have found a dealer where the Sales Manager has agreed to sell me there first Shelby GT350 at MSRP. I will need to place the deposit to hold my place. I am happy but I will not get too excited yet because right now it is just an email and no money has exchange hands yet. I am optimistic though because the dealership has no reason to lie and they did confirm that they applied for the allocation. If this works out I will be very pleased. I will fly back home when the car is delivered and since the dealership is very far from where my house is I will need to find a way to get it there where it will stay tucked away in my Garage until my Job assigment here is over. I wish you guys good luck with the search for one at MSRP. If my deal falls through I will be back in with you guys again. I will keep you posted on my process.

Well guys....I took the next step. I have placed my deposit down for my Shelby GT350 at MSRP! I will continue to post as the deal progresses. You can get this car at MSRP if you are patient and willing to shop around.

Very awesome. Congrats:cheers:

Make sure you get it in writing. And by that I mean real writing, as in words on a page with signatures. :headbonk:

I didn't get a written paper contract with signatures but emails where two parties establish an offer (GT350@MSRP) and there is an acceptance of the offer by both parties in the email traffic and an amount of funds is exchanged as indicated in the email traffic (deposit amount $$$) then agreement is binding. See legal info at link...

I really believe that the dealership is on the level and I will not have any problems getting the car at MSRP. My big dilema now is buying a car from a dealership that is 600 miles from where my house and garage is. The car will be more popular where I live in a big metro area where Stealerships will gouge people so I guess I did the right thing about putting down on this deal. I will feel dumb if the cars come out at MSRP in my area but I had to go for a good deal for an early opportunity.

Just think of the 600 mile return trip as a great break-in opportunity!

Just signed on a buyer/seller commitment to $500 below MSRP on this car. With a 10% deposit based on a projected 60k MSRP with the optional packages I'm interested in.

Provided I allow them a month of the Vehicle in showroom before I drive it off the lot and ... leave the dealership name in vinyl decals on the car where ever I may show the car.

Hmmm.

Some dealers are apparently...very reasonable and understanding.

The agreement was for the car to be displayed. So sitting in it is acceptable for me...no test driving. There is an acceptable 25Mi on the odometer at delivery written in... So the boys and girls at the dealership can likely drive it back and forth down the street a few times. But, it is basically to be showcased in the main showroom.

A CT drive is not out of the question, Jon is a pretty good resource...but this is actually closer to home.

Wow! Cruzin around you got a better deal than me! Congrats! Is the dealership close to you. If so I will feel like a Jack Ass for needing to go 600 miles out of my area for one at MSRP. (Heee Haaaw Heee Haaaw Heeeer Haaaaaaaw!)

Yeah well... its maybe 25 minutes down the road.

I still would enjoy a 600 Mi Drive...

I also requested my name placed down to wait for a Focus RS. ;-)
