Pp1 brembo question

So i bought a set of pp1 brembo at mustang week. When i was cleaning them up i noticed one of the threaded inserts was missing. Has anyone ever had to replace one of these and if so where did u get it from

Lucky man. My wife bought a pp1 car and i didn’t realize what i was missing. Her mpg is trash tho. I blame the PMAS intake and 373 gear combo.

New caliper bolts are relatively cheap, you can get them at Autozone. I swap my calipers seasonally because my winter tires are on 18s, so I’ll usually reuse a set of bolts once before replacing. Since you’re probably not doing that I’d just replace them and forget about it.

I did stainless braided front hoses while I was in there. I think they give a better feel - my brakes feel a bit more responsive than my brother’s factory PP1 - but could just be in my head. They’ve held up though, no complaints.

Make sure your wheels will clear. Non PP 19s will not clear the fronts without a spacer. OEM 18s will not clear.

If you’re into drilled/slotted or two piece rotors, might as well do it now.

If you want to paint or powered coat the calipers it’s easier off the car.

Otherwise, nothing you’re working on is particularly difficult to get to. Watch all the swap tutorials on Youtube and you’ll be fine - this swap was the first time I ever touched brakes 2 years ago and everything went well. Good luck and post for us when you’re done.

You are Johnny on the spot today I drove my wife’s PP1 car and I will agree. I want my petal more responsive. What brand pads and steel lines did you go for? I have 20s so I’m not worried about Clarence.

Just do some research on your wheels - I’m not sure how offset affect fitment. You may still need a spacer, not sure how OEM 20s fit.

I’m using OEM pads, they came with the calipers. I have a set of Powerstop Z26 pads that came with my rotors that are supposed to be lower dust so I’ll try those down the line.

The hoses were from a brand called J&M I believe. No issues at all. If I was doing this today I’d probably go Steeda because they’ve got good customer support and I like their other gear (and they’re blue) but the J&Ms are 100% up to the job.

If you want to go the extra mile, the PP1 has a different undertray that routes air to the rotors for cooling, as well as little air fins on the control arms. I didn’t do all that but it’s not off the table for the future.
