Hmmm. At least 25, I used to get three a year for many years and insurance companies have SR22 filing, basically risk insurance and I was on that for ten years because of speeding tickets. In Minnesota if you get three a year it is a court appearance on the last one. I told the judge that I would gladly pay them $50.00 a month if they just let me drive as fast as I want, LOL, needless to say that did not go over well. I waited to say it until he had already given the fine. He responded with an angry sneer and pointed at the door, as to say GET OUT. I got out of 10 more tickets by out running the cops, it was fun back then, now it is jail time, No sense of humor. Only one was in my Mustang. A few years ago, I got one for 103 mph in a 65 mph on my motorcycle. he tagged me as I was slowing down. I lost my license for 6 months and $385.00 dollar fine. When I got home, I tossed the ticket on the table, my wife saw it and asked "does that really say 103" I told her yes but at least I was slowing down when he tagged me. She said I hope it was worth it. Well $385.00 and it had been 20 years from the last ticket; that's less than $20.00 a year. I can live with that. Last year Minnesota took in 9.5 million dollars just in speeding tickets. No, they weren't all mine. I think they should just issue a stupid sticker to those that like to drive fast at a cost of $50.00 a month and if you get pulled over, just flash your stupid sticker and get on with your day. Look at the money saved on fines and insurance, the states still get the income that they care so much about and if you are the cause of an accident, you are still held responsible for your actions. The only one that loses is the insurance Co.
