Anyone working in an engineering related field know of any open positions in the state of North Carolina? I have a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering (2021), with three years of experience working as a manufacturing engineer in the aerospace industry down in Texas.

I've applied almost every where I could have, but it feels like I'm being turned down primarily due to my location, even though a relocation bonus/payment isn't something I'll explicitly need to move over there. Reason for moving is I got engaged, and I'd like to start my family in North Carolina. If y'all have suggestions on where else to look, or happen to know anyone that's searching for a mechanical/design/manufacturing/quality engineer, that would be heavily appreciated :like:

Look at GE Aerospace in Durham - assembly plant - I don't see any open positions internally right now but there might be something available and we've been consistently hiring with the outlook being pretty decent.

Take a look online for positions at Hendrick Motorsports in Charlotte.
They will have dozens of various positions available in a variety areas.

Cheers to everyone here that has helped out. I've actually moved out to PA to work in an entirely different field that I didn't know I could even work in! Close enough to NC to retain my original plans as well.

Cheers!

Got into Corning Inc., thermal systems. I'll be learning & taking over projects involving melters. I'm on the R&D side of things though, so a mixed bag of small scale + large/expansive scale items. Hell of a transition.

Congrats! I think you landed a wonderful opportunity to learn and expand your knowledge. I often wished I had followed that career path instead of IT.
