I bought my 17 R model back in Columbus Ohio and had it shipped out west. My brothers live there though and were able to check it out and test drive it for me. I've actually looked at a 16 GT350 here in Albuquerque for a guy I didn't know that was back east. I test drove it for him and checked it over. He eventually had it shipped and loves it! Lots of guys on this forum and others that would do the same for you!

The current challenge for me at this point is there’s not a lot in South Florida that I can physically see in the budget. I’m looking to be in. I have found a couple out-of-state that are where I want to be and look like really nice cars. I am only looking at major dealerships or large high-end specialty dealerships… None of these buy here pay here scenarios. but ideally, I’d love to find one near me if not, I’ll have to essentially buy it site unseen, and have it shipped.
CarMax. Get it shipped. 10 day money back if it’s knackered in any way that you deem unworthy. Plus, it’ll have a 30day warranty that gives you time to purchase an extended warranty if, for some reason, you don’t choose their great MaxCare coverage. Only downside is you lose any shipping cost if you don’t purchase but that’s negotiable with customer service if it arrives with undisclosed dents or other blemishes.

Agreed with what the others are saying. Keep searching and the right one will pop up. The GT350 owners are an interesting bunch, which usually fall into the collector type, or track day type. It's usually pretty easy to distinguish if an example is from the collector or track day type.
I also like cargurus (which is where I found my car earlier this year). I've been doing this long enough that I still search craigslist as well (though it's really lost marketshare to carfax, cargurus... etc.).
Good luck! I hope it's worth the effort and time.

To be honest, South Florida isn't going to have a lot at your price point. Really a lot of people down there who think they are wealthy and paid way too much, drove too little, and now think they need to get their money back. You're really going to have to branch out and probably take delivery of one.

I helped a guy back in Michigan, drove two GT500 CFTP for him down here in Houston. He ultimately went a different route, but at least he was able to lay eyes on a car, even if through my phone.

A lot of guys here will help you with that type of thing. So many of us know the ins and outs of these cars, where the damage occurs, what to check for, how PPF should fit, which bolts to check to ascertain damage or modification, etc...that would be helpful for you even if looking at the car yourself.

Appreciate everyone’s insight I looked at one local very nice car but wants more than it’s worth. I did find a few out of state at some nice dealerships so I’m going to see if I can make a deal.

I have looked there. They all seem to have pending sales. I have no doubt I’ll find the right one.

Yep. Have you set up an alert to new arrivals in the app? Need to do that. Then, set up a notification for any pending/reserved ones that fit your wants. That’s how I got mine when it shipped from, of all places, Jacksonville, FL, to here in Austin. I figured someone shipped it and it would be sold but it was just part of inventory move. My exact desired color, options, everything.

Good luck, it’ll happen. Mine fell into my lap just as I was about to snag a new ‘25 Ember DH for $60K after giving up on my 350 search.

Thanks I will do that!

Found this one looks very clean. Connected with the dealership Carfax looks good and only three owners with a lot of service history. Think I can negotiate a little bit. Thoughts?

The CarFax does look ok.
Kind of funny that they say the interior has red accents, when there isn’t much red.
They do not have too many pictures, but of the ones they do, dont see anything big. But pics can hide a lot of small things. I’d asked for a slow walk around video. I like to see the idiot lights on the gauges as it starts up, to make sure they all cycle the way they should. A video of it running with the hood up, to hear the motor. Also ask them for pics of any exterior blemishes; that gives them the opportunity to disclose anything they haven’t.

Yep, absolutely plan on doing those things also going to ask them to bring it out in the sun. I am in the TV production business, we can make anything look good with the right lighting lol They have good reviews as a dealership so there’s that and I believe they said there’s a seven day guarantee. I obviously would have to pay to ship it back, but….

Do you really want a black car? Because it’s a different animal to keep looking fantastic as you’re aware. Also, I see someone put the cheapo old tech crappy Nittos I’ve referenced previously on it. Sorry, I’m a tire snob 🤔 and those things test so poorly compared to current tech competition.

Most importantly though imo is the 52K miles for the $48K ask - it’s out of line by about $3-5K I’d say. Also, a ‘16 with Tech has no auxiliary coolers, are you ok with that? You really want Recaros or no big deal? Sorry, I sound negative now lol. What is your perfect color/option spec? Then, 2nd, 3rd, 4th best? Go from there. Because if you want black with the heat/cool seats and don’t care about track coolers this could be perfect!

Lol no you don’t sound negative black is not my first choice and I did notice the tires too lol. I do not plan on tracking the car so don’t mind the nicer seats. I am looking at a 16 white one, but the price is a little higher than it should be.
