Cool, gonna have to try that. I have had the car for two months and haven't dared to try the bike rack on the trunk. Been riding 8 miles to trails. I m gonna have to try that in the trunk. I got a 29" ht. if u fit with wheel on post it I d like to know.

Thanks for the pics! I was worried. What Size is that tarp/sheet you have, it seems to be a good fit.

I'm pretty sure it will work with the back wheel on. I would say for sure if the front passenger seat is folded forward.

I believe it's 51" x 58". I'm actually thinking of getting another one and asking my mother-n-law to sew them together with the rubber side in... Basically a big bag, that way I won't need to be so carful to not have the parts of the bike hit the plastic trim as I angle it in.

Thanks for the size, the bag would be cool, I tried to find it online, can't seem to, Do you remember where you bought it by any chance?

Can you please try with the back wheel still on.
I have a 29" MTB and being able to carry the bike is a big thing for me.

Next time I go I'll give it a try. Had a bad wreck on today's ride so I'll be out for about a week. A 29er may be tough especially if you have a hard tail frame which normally have a long seat tube. As you can see on mine it is a pretty low and slack frame with a dropper post for the seat, so that definitely makes the packaging easier.

Damn......perfectly good Mustang and you want to ride a bike.
Kind of reminds me of people jumping out of a perfectly good airplane to float down in a parachute.

Or......hey, a bike is lighter than a spare tire! :headbonk:

Pretty roomy! BTW, it looks like that cable is a bit too tight, you may want to see if it's caught on something, it shouldn't be contacting the seal like that... just sayin!
