That was the first thing I did to mine. Got rid of the FP caps, and got the ponies. And of course coated them :)

Very nice looks great skinnyb you got a great looking Mach . I'm looking forward to having them on .
So I also purchased Chemical guys 5" Orbital buffer extra pads and all the coatings , I thought I would be able to accomplish, I'm wrong . Limited abilities at 70 (my back) , so the Detailer (used him before) Im going to use his services again . Paint Correction, PPF half the front , and Gold package 5 years Ceramic coating . 10% discount=. $ 2905 .

I presume the PPF is what is jacking up the price... But the ceramic is about right for correction and coating everything. I do it myself though :) , although my shoulders aren't what they used to be either, I hit half century a couple years ago :(

I'm getting there. Unfortunately. Father time always wins... I am training up a mentor, he comes around a LOT, nice to pass the skills down since I don't have any kids, I "adopted" one :)

Very nice to have a young one that's interested . My girls had no interest in hanging with me in the garage. Very few girls are interested in car stuff. Unless Alex Taylor ( Hot Rod garage ) is your daughter .

Garage lighting is fun. Had to go to the "city" part of town. Since we're on the center cap topic been wanting to explore color matching my caps to the rim. Not sure how it would hold up.

Looks sharp And now I know what the fenders would look like without the Mach 1 badges. I am contemplating taking them off. Already removed the stripes.

Took them off first week of owning. I'm not against fender badges as a whole but sometimes the design just doesn't work. That plus the "Mach 1" font still being pretty old school/retro still just really clashes with modern car design. I prefer it with a symbol versus just words.

Not a popular opinion but the "ford" logo which is still basically an old school script font absolutely ruins design flow on their modern cars. Modern cars plus OLD ass looking logos 👎🏻

Yeah, I never thought about it, I was used to the 5.0 badges having locating pins. So might go that route. I did buy the orange "overlays", might even put those on the bare paint afterward. I bought them and not a fan of putting vinyl over a raised logo like that.

Interesting that would look good, eBay has center caps, refurbished , I was just thinking Blue they are inexpensive at 20 set , but I have a new set of ponies I got months ago. Maybe get ahold of this seller, see if he refurbishers or can contact who does and can make a set , or buy a set and have them paint matched at a local body shop .

Has anyone installed the RTR hood vents? I read somewhere that on our cars there's no cutout in the hood liner for air to escape through the driver's vent (same with the Bullitt) because of the open air box. RTR's website claims more heat dissipation and I read a couple reviews of guys saying their IAT's went down about 8* with them. Plus I like the clean look with them. Feels like an opportunity there to cut out the driver's side hood insulation and let it breathe a little more (I don't have the airbox there anymore). Can't look myself because the car's covered for winter and I'm lazy.
