It may be that I just need more time, to hear more videos emerge from other buyers.

I’m having trouble processing the idle sound between the sound effects of the video transitions and all of the revving.

And maybe that is bouncing off a rev limiter? Not certain. I’ll sit tight though for now. I’m sure it’s a great system, sure looks good.

There are no sound effects in either video. That being said, the second video has a whole section devoted to the sounds you want to hear. I included a link to the exact time stamp for where they started in my last comment.

I just want to make sure you are able to navigate to the correct video (not just the teaser video) and hear the full sound of this system for yourself.

Here are a few quick revs and some drive by footage to help you get a feel for it.

Nice to have more options. I still love my GT500 Borla ATAK with the Switchfire. I think having an optional X pipe would be good for buyers who aren't completely sold on the H-pipe old muscle car sound. This is probably also a great system for people with long tube headers with the extra bullet resonators. Also, having the option to keep it a true 3" system off the 3" connecting pipes from the long tube headers was a good move.

Thanks for the compliments on the design options. Keeping a true 3 inch connection in play was a priority for us from day one.

On the X pipe topic, here is the straight answer. AWE treats rasp like a mortal enemy, especially on a V8 that should sound mature, mean, and confidently throaty. We prototyped several X based variations, put them through our harmonic analysis process, and let the data and our ears weigh in. The call was clear. Prioritizing a clean, authoritative exhaust note was the right move for this platform, so that is the path we took.

Perfectly fair point. I know how raspy these engines can get and at one point I added bullet resonators to my 2017 to calm it down and it helped a lot. Great system. I wish it was available when I put together this mashed up GT500 2.75" system.

I may consider this option if I end up going catless with an ESS supercharger in the future.

PS: Sound clip with headers would be sweet but I'm sure one will pop up at some point from someone. 😎

Snooty! We have a separate SwitchPath Edition for the for the 2018+ Ford S550 Mustang GT. You can find that exhaust right this way..

The exhaust shown in this thread is engineered specifically for the Mach 1 platform.
Do you happen to know what makes this Mach 1 kit incompatible with the GT?

The rear valence. The Mach 1 uses the GT500 rear.

We developed these kits separately. The rear sections are different pipe pathways entirely, as well as the above mentioned valence and tip fitment concerns. 😎

Hello. I have the H-pipe configuration with the Borla S-Type and am interested in replacing the H-Pipe for a switchfire. I know the S-type is not as aggressive as your ATAK but I reached out to Borla for some sound clips of an S-type with the switchfire and they said they didn't have any. I can't find any youtube videos either. can you share some sound clips of your system?

Thank you for going through the trouble! Hard to tell a difference in what I have now, they sound the same. If you ever get any driving clips and want to share, shoot em over. Blessings.
