RTR Spec 5 widebody kit added

I completed the RTR spec upgrades with the wide body kit and forged aero 7 wheels in custom white powder coated finish. The work was done at the RTR lab in nearby Concord, NC. I absolutely love how it came out, complete with purple accent finishes.

white wheels are equally bold and the purple is the perfect bridge between the grey and the white.

Sorry,to me Bolt on fender flares don't make a wide body. Wide body's are sculpted.

Were spacers required to bring the rear wheels out to meet the flares? Any known data that shows this kit improves aerodynamics and has cut down on lap times?

Glad you like it OP, that’s all that matters. I’ve always wondered why some of these widebody kits don’t go all the way around the wheel wells. The SA widebody is more what I picture when I hear/think widebody but everyone has their own tastes.

I do like the purple accents, nice choice.

Thank you sir. The rear wheels do make a difference. They push noticeably more. It feels like one of those ladder trucks with rear steering

The wheels have a negative offset and are custom forged. No spacers were used.

My next track day is this coming weekend, so I can directly compare to my previous laps on the same track.

It needs to be said that stylistic choices are always up to the owner. But it should be noted that RTR's styling overall is a callback to JDM styled body kits etc. Thats why the widebody kits are riveted on. Along with a lot of the other RTR parts for styling, they are a reference to the bosozoku styles from 90's Japan. As well as the slew of 90's and 2000's JDM bodykits. Not to be confused with "ricer" car culture.

I shaved 2 seconds off my PB at the Rockingham, NC 'roval' track on a hot day. Due to the wider stance? who really knows.

I love the subtle purple accents and have always love that RTR wheel. Cool to see you tracking it, my impression is most of the RTR cars are just street/show.
