Aftermarket Shocks & Struts + Lowering springs

2022 Mustang GT PP
Hello everyone, this is my first post, so I apologize if I am beating a dead horse. I just bought a 2022 Mustang GT PP w/o magneride. I've set myself on getting either the Eibach Sportline Lowering Springs or the Steeda Mustang Sport Springs. I've read that I should also upgrade my shocks and struts if I'm gonna go ahead and get lowering springs. Does anyone have any recommendations on which ones I should get? I planned on going with https://www.steeda.com/steeda-s550-mustang-comfort-suspension-package-15-17-555-2407, but wanted to get y'all's opinion first. Thank you for your time.

What are you looking for as far as ride height for the vehicle? This may change your options of what springs to go with.
I honestly think the ride height the steeda springs offer is just right. I like being able to see the whole side wall of the tire. Plus I dont live in an area with the best roads so I didnt wanna go too low. I think the drop the eibachs give is the lowest I wanna go. Just wanted to know if maybe someone had different recommendations or had bad experiences with the steeda sport springs, because im pretty sure im set on those.

From what I've gathered from pictures on this forum, the general web and the excel sheet on springs, I believe the hibachi give you the lowest ride height in the front and back. From the eibach sites info, it shows the eibach sports, non m/r will drop you 1.5" in the front and 1.3" in the rear. Where as the steeda springs should, from their documents, drop you around 1" in the front and back.

I just finished lowering my 15 gt on steeda nonadjustable springs/shocks and their progressive drop springs with front camber plates. I'm also on 20x10 and 20x11's with 285 35 and 305 35.
I went back and forth on whether to get progressives or the min drops as I don't want my car to ride like my prior lowered vehicles. all my past drops were with eibach pro.

I am completely happy with the steeda setup. ride is a tad firmer than stock but feel it's not really that much different. look is great and not a single issue so far with tire scrape. alignment is all within factory specs so no crazy cambers on front/rear.

overall I would recommend this setup to anyone looking for a lowered look to get rid of the awful fender gap.

I went with the Steeda sport springs. There isn't
Any need to change the shocks if you're satisfied with the ones that you have.

The springs are great on stock shocks/struts.

Of course if you're looking for a certain driving dynamic changing shocks or struts could help achieve that. But it's certainly not a "you should also change..." Kinda thing.

Eibach's have high spring rates that make the ride very firm. If ride quality or comfort is a priority, then go with the Steeda Comfort package. If is going to give you the best ride quality you will get in a mustang. We also offer our Steeda Sport Package Steeda 555-2407 Mustang Sport Suspension Package (15-23) . I’d recommend changing the shocks too. The Pro Actions (or Koni Yellows) are adjustable so you have some choices with how firm the ride feels (firmer = more control, softer = comfort but less control).

Or the Bilstein or Ford Track shocks (non-adjustables) should be a good upgrade over the stock shocks and may last longer than the Pro Actions / Koni yellows.

Anytime you increase the spring rate you want shocks which will match that to preserve the best ride quality, its a case where if the shocks are too soft the ride gets worse so they need to be in the right ballpark. They dont need to be perfect, but in the zone.

While budget is clearly a key factor, tackling the shocks, springs, and camber plates together can be a smart move. Bundling the install saves time, reduces labor costs, and minimizes the hassle of multiple tear-downs—making it more efficient in the long run.

I recently upgraded my suspension to:

  • Ford Performance Street lowering ‘XA’ Springs.
  • Ford Performance ‘Track Pack’ sway bars.
  • Bilstein B6 shocks/struts.
This setup is excellent for ride and performance.
