'18-'23 Mustang hood vent styling a throwback?

Probably known (as I'm always the last to figure it out), but do you suppose the hood vent styling on the facelift Gen 6's comes from the '67-'68 Mustang?

There’s been a few interviews and documentaries where it was mentioned they tried to incorporate some design influences from past generations into the 6G cars. I believe the hood vents is one of those styling cues

I really think the 6G is the best generation of all time, and that it’ll stay that way

It’s my favorite, although I do really like the 7G as well. Especially the Dark Horse

To me the 7G is a girl I’d be happy dating, but know I wouldn’t want to marry. Then as soon as I met the 6G I’d end things with the 7G and propose to the 6G to lock her down

That said I’ve only driven a GT premium 7G, but maybe I’ll have to let you try the Mach HP out

I’ve driven a non-HP Mach. A lot of similarities between the two cars. The Trofeo’s on the DH are really sticky, that’s probably the biggest difference between the two. And the brakes.

If you look at all the generations of Mustangs through the years, you will design elements from the early cars
