Hello; This is a 2021 GT. No where near as desirable as the older GT.
Oh, so that’s why they go in the millions and the 2005-2006’s generally don’t??

Hello; it is a V6 for one thing. Has a turbo I think. Both a departure from the GT40 and later GT. Perhaps some other things I forget. The look does not appeal to me. But if what they go for is your criteria such is fine.

That’s fine if they don’t appeal to you, you’re entitled to your own opinion like everyone else. But generally if someone pays more for something, it’s deemed more valuable (also eye of the beholder thing so not everyone will agree it’s better or more valuable). They’re highly sought after and they generally bring big money at the major auctions ($1M+). If my guy at the dealership tells me the price of the one linked, I will post it here. I will bet that it’s higher than original sticker (~$825K).

Yes, it’s a twin turbo V6 and it absolutely flies. It also only weighs +\- 3,300 lbs, so pretty lightweight. It’s a Mutimatic car and won LeMans in 2016. I love the 2005-2006 Ford GT, but I’d take the new generation (V6 and all) over the 05-06 generation in a heartbeat.

Different strokes for different folks, but I would say just based on what these things go for at auction, the newest generation GT is more collectible/sought after than the prior generation. Other than taking a formal poll, I don’t really know how else to measure desirability/collectibility other than auction data.

Hello; For what it is worth, and I agree my opinion is not worth much, Different strokes for different folks is fair. I also do not like the newer rear engine Corvette at all. That version is also likely worth more money than the front engine versions.

825K?!?!?! that's absolutely criminal. i've started wondering if cars are being used for tax evasion like high-end art. that price is insane

Wish I had a better answer but it kinda is what it is. Highly optioned car. I’m hoping to go see it in person this weekend. I’ve seen a few in person but not the Liquid Carbon. The Ken Miles Heritage Edition is super cool up close, those break $1M without breaking a sweat. Same for the HE in Gulf livery.
