How are s550s ageging for you?

I am very happy with my 2019 GT PP1. I’ve always liked the digital cluster and enjoy driving it often. But it is not a daily driver. I have about 53K on it and no issues. I dont drive it hard, sometimes but not often. Only thing that happened was a couple years ago the left rear shock started leaking and well I figured just go steeda all around and some new springs also. It’s pretty great that way. I have the 10R80 and no problems. I do like the S650, took me a while to like it, but it’s not enough for me to get rid of a paid off ride. I did ceramic when it was new, did the front in PPF but sure wish I did the fenders, hood and roof. Need a few chips fixed and then maybe get the full PPF treatment, it works.

Wow, after seeing the two next to each other the 650 is kinda butt ugly! It looks like they are trying too hard to look complete with a Camaro. I am a Chevy guy (don't kill me, older ones) and I love the way the 550 looks. The Camaros are ugly too.

You mean compete, not complete? Mustang can't compete with a Camaro. Camaro can't compete with a Mustang. Since the Camaro is no more. Try to refrain from telling S650 their car are ugly. If hate you to walk around with fresh shiners all the time.

OK, wrong choice of words. To me the 550 looks better. I do like the rear end of the 650's when I first saw them online, but in person the dimensions just look off. To bulky, angular or something. The 550 has the perfect mix of curves and angles.

Mine has just short of 140k and the only problem I have had so far is the rear caliper e-brake lever locking up. They have rusted up really badly and I need to replace them but they are insanely expensive (at least for me). I just take a pair of vice grips and work it a few times every time I rotate the tires and work the brake pedal hard to the floor every once in a while to take up the slack. I also have noticed my MPG has gone down quite a bit, but I am 90% sure that is just due to carbon buildup and will be investing in a walnut blaster.

I am amazed at the reliability/strength this thing has. I have beaten the crap out of it and it still runs great. I have even called it the "DoorDash" sometimes because I was using it for deliveries for a while and survived on some roads it shouldn't have been on. I'm always getting complemented on remote deliveries where people swear only trucks should be at. It could be because I grew up with a '78 Corolla that I would take everywhere and anywhere and this reminds me of it.

I always thought Mustangs were ugly. I like the grills running horse and my shifter ball better than the car itself. No other type of car is available so I have what I have.

I really don't like any of them, except for the 550. I don't know what it is about it, but it looks so perfect to me. But I am one of the few that likes the second generation Camaro and it does have some of the same curves on it.

Your thread title asks how are they aging. Your 1st post asks how are they holding up.
I think that those are two distinctly different questions.
My thoughts on aging are that there are certain model years that are iconic. Certainly the '64 ¹/² is. For me the next is the '67. Those will always grab my attention. The Fox bodies are ok but about the only one that really catches my eye is the '04 Anniversary car. Then the remodel in '05. And, while I like the S197 cars I think that the S550 is a better vision of the classic Mustang. So, for me, the S550 is and will continue to age well.
How they are holding up is another question and one most in this thread cannot really answer. Ten year old cars with 15k miles or 6 years old with 4k miles, etc, etc cannot speak to how well themodel is "holding up".
My '18 Ecoboost was my DD for 4 years until I retired. It currently is at 107k ish miles. It is still my DD but obviously not driven as much. In its lifetime it has had one major issue. The common EB headgasket leak into #3 cylinder. It was repaired under warranty. Besides that, knock on wood, it has been issue free. I take care of my cars but they are not babied. My interior is showing very, very little wear. The exterior looks better than you would expect a 107k car to look. Nearly weekly i get compliments on it and very few believe it is 8 y/o. So, as long as that continues I'd say it's "holding up" well.

Unfortunately i think looks also depends on what is around, eg the new evs (of all brands with those sleek light bars across the back i thought when they came out like amazing, now they're so common, they're looking a bit bland)

Best Mustang ive owned. So far its been great 2020 PP1 34k miles on it now 800+ hp its a fantastic car

I have a 2018 with a Pro Charger, 34K miles total. One toasted transmission (due to supercharger), otherwise mine has been uber reliable and trouble-free.

I have a 2024 GT Premium, and honestly, even below 5K rpm, my 2018 is much faster, handles better (due being lighter than the 24 and having better tires). Can't believe how much more nimble and throttle responsive my 18 is over the 24.

2018 is little raw, a little rough, and this is what I love about it, I feel connected to it. The 24 is more refined and feels more like a sedan in daily driving. The 24 is trying to isolate me from the feel of the pavement whereas the 18 throws rocks in my face, which I love.

I have tried to like the 24 styling, but it's frankly not as sexy as the 18.

If I had to pick one over the other, I would 100% keep the 2018.
