Has anyone scraped their splitter on a driveway?

It juts out so far that it looks like a cow pusher. I wonder if it is challenging to navigate the transition from road to driveway. Especially guys that have lowered their rides.

I have a decently steep driveway but have no rubbed at all. I have my wife check it the day I brought the car home. She said I had 3" of clearance from the splitter to the driveway.

I always pull in at an angle anyway and not straight on if that makes sense.

I'm relieved to hear that. I like the fact that the splitter is so thin, but it also made me afraid that it wouldn't fare well in a driveway encounter.

My biggest fear is hitting a curb or concrete thingy when pulling in to park. So far, all good on that front!

this especially since this is my first car with a giant ass front end... I have no clue how far I'm pulling up

my wife's 2015 rogue has front, side and rear cameras and makes life SO easy when parking....but damn I wish my mustang at least had the front camera!

Same for me, I have a steep driveway at the bottom of a hill. So the road pitches down into my drive and the drive pitches up away. About the worst case possible. I had my wife check the clearance on the first day too. It was really close but going slow (nearly stop, then go) at an angle and it clears.

For comparison, her Fiat Abarth has to go slow and angle as well. Even my Subaru Impreza would scrap if I didn't go really slow.

The front end obviously sticks out like crazy but its not particularly low or anything. Zero problems with driveway or scraping. I do have a massive amount of effort to park it in my garage because of not being able yet to properly judge its front length. So i park, get out and look, inch forward, get out and look, inch some more forward, get out and look etc etc etc You get it. Im putting in a bump stop so I know where to stop it.

I used to scrape every time with my 300zx, to the point that I had to go out my yard into the neighbors adjacent driveway. The mustang clears no problem. Looking at it from the side I think the front fascia sits a little higher than the side skirts and rear fascia, which helps a lot, even though it makes it look like the nose is sitting high, IMO

This is with the PP, btw.

I hit a curb while slowly pulling into one of those angled parking spots in the street (the corner on the passenger's side). What a horrid sound, I thought I smashed that thing or at least cracked it. But you can't see! Luckily the curb was short enough so it only got a scrape underneath, so it is not visible, but you can feel it if you run your hand underneath. Now I park too far back from everything. What can I say, I'm used to driving a Wrangler.

Remember those curb feelers? Maybe I should get summa those. :headbonk:

I fear this as well. Not used to the size of the front-end. I keep thinking I'm going to hit things when I have a good 2 feet in front of me.

I've got a pretty steep driveway and I don't scratch by going up on an angle.

I hear some squeaking as I'm going up with the wheel turned all the way, which I'm assuming is the suspension?

To understand, you hit the surface above and infront of the 1 1/2" rubber lip that sticks down all across the front?

Being lowered with the Eibach kit, I'm having to angle entry quite a few things. Was expected, doesn't bother me.

I've hit it 1 time, Entering a shopping center that appeared to be flat, wasn't - No big deal. Just a little scuff.

But yea - It's worth it to take a little more precaution when approaching, Besides - gives everyone more time to check it out.Hahahah.

Initially Yes, and little bit still, i get cautious while taking out my car or coming out of street, as i know my slitter is low and little upfront.

I guess its just about getting used to it

I know I have driveway rash if I were to look underneath. I've hear that scrape sound even though I creep up from the street to the driveway. That splitter sits a bit to low for most entrances. I haven't hit a curb with it yet, since I purposely park far enough back from any curb.
