Nothing says its gonna be a great day like leading a run on Hwy 2, AFH & ACH through Angeles Forest. Loud pedal through the tunnels, humbling crotch rocketeers, and scrubbing tires for lunch at Newcombs with buds? Damn straight...

Only thing better is adding an addl loop through the San Berdoo mtns...

I did the PCH from Morro Bay to San Fran in August during Pebble Beach week. Did the Hana Hwy in Maui in 2012. I live 45min from the Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway. Just about any road thats not an interstate in E. TN, N. GA, and W. NC is fun to drive.

I've traveled the entire length of Natchez Trace in my Focus ST with my buddy in his challenger r/t and it was epic fun great scenery and at the very end of it by Nashville it gets very twisty.

I miss driving in California. Such nice views and great curvy roads. I really wanted to do PCH, but moved back home before I had a chance. A couple favorites.
Hwy 74 from Palm Desert to Idyllwild/Hemet.
Rim of the World Hwy from San Bernadino- Lake Arrowhead/Big Bear
NV State rd 50 from Carson City into Lake Tahoe

There are a couple here in Pa., but nothing like Ca.

If you can get there when it's quiet, nothing beats Palomar Mountain.

Seems we have similar tastes in roads.
Hwy 1 San Fran to LA in 89'
North Georgia Mountains from 95-2013 regularly.
Road to Hana in 07' (On a rented Harley. Still great fun)
Cherohala Skyway and Tail of the Dragon in 13'
Back of the Dragon (Va Hwy 16) in 14'. (Very fun road this)

Some more.
California Hwy 4 from Lake Alpine to Hwy 89. Awesome views too.
California Hwy 49. Almost 300 miles, lots of small towns, some excellent winding sections that are plentiful but short usually. Best in low tourist season.
Sad that it has been changed but used to be that Hwy 4 from Copperopolis to Angels Camp was great fun but they straightened much of it out.

Blue ridge parkway from Big Island to the Peaks of Otter.
Va 33 from Harrisonburg to Elkins WV. WV 219 to WV 60. 60 to Beckley WV. WV 16 from Beckley WV to Tazewell Va which coincidentally becomes the Back of the Dragon.

Sorry I'm reminiscing here. Got my car last Thursday and haven't been able to go for a drive yet.:headbonk: Jonesing something fierce here. I may have to go on an epic road trip this summer.

It looks great, for sure. But you're basically turning 180 degrees with straightaways measured in yards. That combined with a road so narrow you have to basically stop to let another guy through. This is a clutch burner, not a rubber burner on my list.

Maybe some San Diego people will know these good twisties....
Highland Valley rd that starts in Escondido and ends in Ramona (vice versa) Wrecked my se-r there when I was 21. Also Palomar mtn has great driving roads as well.

Any mountain road west of Denver, after the winter pot holes are fixed for lots of twisties. For a long run, I-70 from Denver to Vegas. I forgot that would include a good chunk of I-15 as well.

That route is pretty amazing, and also a few hours north and east is 55 and 29 on the VA/WVA border with some amazing back roads in between those two.
