2016 GT Premium 6 SPD Manual 18" wheels with 3.31 gears. Shaker Sound and Navigation that I don't use because I use AppleCarplay and Waze.

I don't have PP. Those came with Black wheels and I hate black wheels

I made the right decision. No complaints. I drove a PP car when I was looking around and it was okay. I didn't drive it crazy like because the salesman was with me but I didn't really notice a big difference although Mustangs where new to me. Maybe If I drove one now I'd notice but I'm retired and aint buying a new one anyways.. They're really expensive now. Mine was $40k and I got it for $37k.

Test drive a few and see for yourself

If it's to be a surprise, let the surpise be that you're buying her a Mustang. She'll be happier with it if she decides on the specifics. When my wife (may she rest in peace) decided to upgrade from her Jeep Cherokee, she picked out exactly what she wanted, and I think she did a pretty good job -

Honestly, at this point, you are all over the place. Just get what makes your wife happy and move on. Good luck. :like:
Not much available out there. All these lofty packages people talk about do not exist. Mostly just ten speeds available anyway. Only a few Dark Horses available in black only. Too dusty where I live. As for being all over the place I was trying to respond to comments.

Then I guess it will be a Shelby. Just did major searches of Houston and Waco, came up with zero. Plus I know what she wants. A Mustang is a Mustang. As in when we had real Mustangs we added what we wanted to them. I can add to it. But all this race car balls to the walls stuff is a waste.

I may have to surrender and get a DH in Georgia, and drive or tow it home. No others with Tremecs available in Texas. Everyone wants me to get a GT with all the spoiled brat born with silver spoon options. They're just not available.

Hello; I have begun to accept that base GT's with a manual are not built much and also that dealers do not want nor order them. I get it from a profit making point of view.
Few actually "need" all the as you put it "silver spoon options" but enough with ample funds appear to want them.

I may have to go GT Premium just to get decent 19 inch rims. Tried searching either brands and you need this and that , offset this offset that. It's madness. I like the GT Premiums 19 and 20s. Black looks good, until you hit dust, which is plentiful in Texas. May have to do a one hundred mile search. Guess I could have a sway bar and all that handling options put on later. H pipe first. I have to move fast because my wife's birthday is coming up, and she's across the state. My plans are GT , half shafts, transmission mounted shifter, anti wheel hop street kit. Regular GT or Premium. Whatever I can find. And if a Dark Horse falls into my lap so be it. Could get her a used Mach 1 but she should get something new. I see Mach 1 with 5,000 miles on them. That's what I drive.

I personally prefer the higher performance option Mustangs due to stiffer suspension and looser AdvanceTrac tuning.

Even for mostly easy going street driving I get annoyed with the base model and how it slaps the handcuffs on you with any slight loss of traction. I also hate the lack of body control (nose dive or shooting up into the sky).

If your wife never slips a tire or isn't good at handling a powerful vehicle, then base model. Suspension can always be upgraded later. The AdvanceTrac tuning you are stuck with. Back when I had a base model, I used to turn off AdvanceTrac every time I got in the car. It was annoying.

When I owned a GT350, it was fine even on track in normal mode. You really had to do something dumb to get AdvanceTrac to intervene.

Wait, your wife is a cop and she chases down bad guys in her privately owned vehicle?? 🤣🤪
No. Unless push comes to shove and some bad guys come along and have a desire for her car, or her, or her and her car. Does that make sense. People are allowed to defend themselves, or even keep an eye on the would be defender until the red and or blue lights show up. đźš”

Well for serious commuting, not just a few miles, across state she currently uses my Crown Vic Interceptor with a Centrifuge. So she can drive. She's do ditzy blonde, she's a flaming red headed Apache. Members of our band are not so easily caught, if at all. She has a lot of time behind the wheel.

Because I have a Mach 1, was looking for an S550 with extremely low miles, but all I could find was S550s with extremely high miles. 1) ESS are not available for S550s? 2) S650s are not Mustangs?? Looks like she's going to get an S650, ESS is not made for S650s.
