Not good to hear since I just ordered f14's

Pretty crappy having a warranty, then fighting paid customers on getting it taken care of.

I've inquired about canceling my order, see where that goes. If this were to happen to me, and claim was denied, I know where I'd be going!

I am sure some of the wheel vendors here could chime in on this and let us know.

I made up my mind and want the F14's as well.

Thats what I was initially told, now it's looking like 8-9 weeks. :(
I ordered in late November, not much movement during the holidays, however since then seems like they are moving along. Mine were in powder coat as of January 5. Hoping they will ship in the next week.

I am not aware of the cracking story, but we have put Forgestars on many customers cars, and run them on our 1000rwhp 67 Camaro, and have never had a problem. I can tell you our shop 67 has been running nearly every weekend for the last 2 years. I will keep you posted on how the 18x11 CF5s work on Progect 6G.

I have talked to reps for NeedforSpeed and GetYourWheels and both say they have not encountered this problem with any of their customers and they say they sell lots of Forgestar wheels. They also say that they and Forgestar would stand behind any problems. I will likely go ahead with my order of the CF5V wheels (19 x10s), but I'll take a close look at the lifetime warranty against structural problems before I place my order.

That thread is from 2 years ago. Has there been anything recent?

I have not seen any Forgestar wheel problems reported that are more recent. It still made me a bit nervous and decided I would check out the wheels further before purchasing.

Allow me to provide some personal inside if I may working with Forgestar very closely and being one of their closest authorized dealer in So Cal !

I have provided their line of wheels from everything from Simple Honda and Audis to high horsepower Porsche, Mustang and Corvettes.

So far I am extremely happy with the products and the finish that have arrived to my hands for my clients. Finish is on point, fitment on point weight savings are good and price point is great as well.

Every Forgestar wheel is inspected in house by their team prior to being packaged and ready to go to their new homes or to us for in house install or wheel and tire packages. They have stood up to some tough standards for my clients and I am happy to report no fitment issues, cracks, finish issues or anything that would be of concern.

We here at Need4Speed only provide top quality products and work with companies that share our standard of quality and customer service. Also should anything occur there is nothing to worry about Forgestar has a warranty to ensure you can have peace of mind about the product and the company, also the vendor that provides you the service and product has a huge factor in making sure if anything happens they have your back, we have our forum members backs 100%

If anyone has any questions they are more then welcome to personally pm me and I will provide them any information they need want or desire !

Also as Stoli stated they do take some time to be finalized, build time is 4-6 weeks I normally have been receiving my clients wheels completed in 5 weeks.

The only time you see any further delay is if the vendor has not provided proper detail of stock and or if there is a issue for instance, when Forgestar does their quality check should there be any defect in the finish they let the vendor know and then we go ahead have them redo the finish so its quality and does not present the potential to cause any finish issues down the line.

I have had Forgestar rush orders on emergency for me within 3 1/2 weeks receiving them before and I have to say I am happy to carry their product and provide it to people.

Thanks again for your patience Stoli, we know they can take some time. Over the holidays it does take a little bit longer and with the 15 coming out the orders have piled on them, setting Forgestar back a couple weeks.

Minus the wait I really have no issues with Forgestar. We're not as big as some other dealers when it comes to Forgestar but we're a company specifically geared towards Mustang's and ST's. I've personally never had an issue with a Forgestar wheel cracking, we have had a couple customers (I think 2 total) in 2 years who did have some finish issues but that was it, those two issues were handled without issue under warranty.

We stick to quality wheels, which is one of the reasons we only offer certain brands. Key thing for us is what a wheel manufacturer is willing to do when there is an issue.

I waited nearly 15 weeks for my F14s for my C7. They've been on the car for a year and still look great.
