Out of curiosity what CAI did you choose for your Mustang, or will you choose?

I'm currently debating between JLT's and Steeda's. I'm waiting for some performance numbers from Steeda before I make my decision.

I'd personally go with the Airaid enclosed one for a DD that see's traffic.

Why? Sorry, never don't any modification. I wonder if that one is CARB legal.

I have the airaid but wouldn't get it again unless I was going to run just a cai and no tune. With the tune we only picked up a few hp. I would go jlt if I had to do it again.

Hmmm interesting. I wouldn't think there'd be any more of a restriction on its design over JLT. I prefer the Airaid setup as it looks better at keeping engine bay heat out, being a sealed unit. I heard there is an insert for guys not wanting to tune with the Airaid. Any chance the insert is still in?

The insert is still in because that's how they tuned it. The company I used didn't have a tune for insert out. They also told me they are seeing the best results with the jlt. I'm not to concerned because I already ordered a blower.

I didn't dyno. But I pick up huge gains with the airaid and Bama 93 track tune. I did drive the car some with the airaid only and it bogged bad in mid range. So for that reason, I would suggest a tune as well. I don't know if they flow as much air as a JLT or Steeda. But they definitely flow a lot of air. I went with the Airaid thinking it would keep the filter cleaner than the open top or hood sealed types.

I have the same combination and did back to back runs with their tune and without it and saw very little gains. if you are able to I would go to a dyno and do a run with their tune and one without you may be surprised. How long ago did u do the mods? I was one of the first customers that ordered this combination so maybe they have may some changes since I ordered my airaid and tune.

I bought my set up from American Muscle about 2 months ago. I've put about 1300 miles on the car since the mods. I probably won't dyno unless I do FI. I'm very pleased with my set up for now.

I think I was talking to u on facebook about my issues. Lol. I was shocked when we did the back to back dyno runs. As long as your happy that's all that matters. I just expected more.
