Has anyone with a non-PP looked into the possibility of adding the Gauge Pack (Oil Pressure and Boost) to their car?

I was just wondering what the approximate cost would be for the parts (dash trim, gauges, wires, hardware, ect.) and the procedure to mount them.;)

My dealer informed me that you couldn't just order the gauge bezel part, you had to order the whole dash assembly. He did say that it would run about $1600. Sort of...if you need to replace a tire lug nut...you have to order the whole wheel and tire (LOL).

That's pretty insane. I wondered if you'd be able to get just the boost gauge and it's price. I have the P.P. dash in my GT, but of course it has a vacuum gauge, not boost. Sure would be nice if I ever decide to go blower to just be able to swap the vacuum gauge for a vacuum/boost gauge.

OEM is not cheap

You will be able to do this with aftermarket within the next year or so as the equivalent s550 parts for the following will become available.

Thanks for the replies. We've already decided that if we do order the car, we'll also include the PP.

Weird, I'm in the opposite boat. I am considering the PP but I hate the "engine turn" dash and gauges...I wish swapping it wasn't so difficult or I'd trade someone.

Holy crap!!!! :faint:

That's almost as much as the entire Performance Package!

Getting the PP is making more and more sense! :headbang:
Just get a COBB AP and have all the gauges you want :)

Sadly, you can peel it off, it's just a sticker.

I'd love to see the dumb Vacuum gauge removed and the GT350 Oil Temp gauge in its place.

The question is...does a non PP GT have the same wiring harness and sensors to hook up a PP Dash/Gauge assy?

Also, based on the diagram from the Ford site, it looks like the dash "base" is universal, where the wiring is run through the center AC vent for the PP gauges?

This is not a bad idea at all. I wonder if you could get gauges that match the OEM dash gauges.
