Shorties don't add power. Your factory manifolds are basically shorty headers.

Do you want the cheapest? Best fitting? Ones that come with all the accessories you need (header bolts, X pipe, pieces to join up to your factory exhuast?)

The "best" could arguably be Kooks or American Racing, or Stainless Works or Ultimate headers.

But there are people here happy with Chinese made headers like Stainless Power and Speed Engineering.

Bigger headers should make slightly more power on the high end but they should all be within 10hp or so on that setup

I want best fitting and not the cheapest but not the most expensive and only the headers maybe with a cat I already have kooks high glows I’m just not sure how big I need the pipe to be and I want them to fit in without any issues

1.875" or 2.0" long primary.
Kooks ARH or SW.
Kooks has a canted collector requiring an angled collector connection whereas SW/ARH collectors exit parallel to the road surface or body floor pans.

What’s a angled collector connection 😭 does it not come with what I need?

I have the Ultimate Headers on mine. I installed them 4 years ago. Great headers, but I did blow out the cats about a year ago.

If you're ordering a complete kit from Kooks you'll be covered. If you go hand built it requires an additional bend off the collectors to run the exhaust piping parallel with the underbody.
You're going SC and there's the good chance cat failure is imminent as mentioned in the previous post.

i like my stainless power headers i believe they were 1 7/8 get the connection to aftermarket and not oem unless you want some small reducers. regardless make sure you have some room for the ac lines there super close. i had to bend a tab to make sure there not touching. no leaks fit well. the hell that is a header install was not due to any design issue with the headers so not much to say there. id buy them again. 1 7/8 is good for clearence since FI really only cares about the intake track unless your turbocharged then the exhaust plays a bigger role of power production so id stay away from 2" primarys unless thats a goal of yours.

fyi since all headers come with cats these cats are slip in so i bought a walker 12" pipe and put it in place of the cat so i can swap it back in whenever i need a cat there

If you look on the site they have two different connection points you can get, one necks down to fit factory exhuast

Ohhh now I understand!! I’m looking at the kooks long tubes with green cats it says they can be used on forced induction cars just alittle more pricey at 3.4k kinda misleading tho you would think green cat would be more environmentally friendly

I have Kooks on my car. They have race pipes available if you don't want cats
