Sadly majority of downpipe tune audi and bmw will give you a very tough time being just na. Going past headers, catback, intake, e85, ur going to spend very big dollar for very little hp gains. If you add a little more money, you get to boost, which on just 93 you can already make 700whp area, which will beat most of the german cars which dont have built tranny, e85, big turbo, etc

Any reason to specifically stay na?

You can still flex. “Its only 8psi”
On e85, you get 750-800 on low boost on basically any power adder. Plus theyre all boosted, its hardly fair

You're not going to have any problems beating the crap out of scatpacks with basic bolt-ons and e85 tune

You'll win stock but it will be more convincing FBO

if you stay NA you still have intake to do. Ported ‘18 and bigger throttle body helps. Next step after that would be weight reduction. Remove back seats, don’t fill fuel past 1/2 full, lighter wheels/tires.

For boost: Don’t go past 700 whp if you don’t also have a built trans. I know quite a few Coyotes at 750ish whp and every single one of them have broken their trans. Also, while on boost don’t do a really long pull as the ring gap isn’t set for boost and you’ll risk the ring ends expanding due to too much heat and touching and blowing up your engine.

What's considered a long pull? A half mile event?

Would e85 help reduce the risk of popping a ring land?

Thanks!

Depends. How much boost, do you have cats, how much timing...Some people have popped them on a road course.

Just needs to get the piston or ring hot enough to expand enough to cause a big problem.

E85 will help lower the temps

Wow, is that really NA? A ZL1 with 650 HP only does maybe low 11s.
HP doesn't alway mean much when it comes to ET

A friend of mines ZL1 went 11.01 @ 129 with a tire on it

Meanwhile his 2000 Camaro went 11.5 @ 116 with just a couple boltons and the seat and swaybar removed (other random "tricks" too but it only made 340rwhp)
