I've had some loud droning exhaust, then for years was having active valve exhaust.
Since a family member had to daily the mustang I've reverted to stock exhaust for a year.
Now it is time to think of aftermarket exhaust again. One option is just to reinstall my active Varex
cat-back. But then I think that it might be a good time to consider other options and get
some different sound.
I do not consider another active exhaust (I'd rather use my Varex then) as they are pricey.
But how about a stock resonator and:
- Corsa axleback Touring
- Borla axleback touring
- Is there Ford performance Touring by Borla axle back?
- GT500 11-12 axleback (needs muffler shop work)
My biggest concern is engine's cold start. I do not care much after I leave the neighborhood or
arrive back with warmed up engine.
Also, Sometimes I have long rides, like hours in one direction and do not want it loud inside during long trips. Would want it to me OEM-ish. I also noticed that exhausts impact rear passengers much stronger then front seaters.
I've watched tons of clips at youtube, but of course they give very little idea on the actual DB levels of
exhausts.
How would you rate above solutions long terms? Given my quirks would I be able to live with either of those
for years, or better to stay stock?
