Might be moving over to Mercedes or Cadillac. I've had a camaro not a big fan so we will see.
Bleh you lost me at Mercedes or Cadillac, forget Camaro.

Just got a call from Akins Ford and they are going to get a Ford Engineer out😁😁😁😁 i guess threatening them with an attorney made them do something or the felt bad for me due to my anxiety with this car
Forewarning, more than likely the Ford Engineer is going to tell you its a bad weld at the frame, IF he does that, then I would URGE you to show him this thread and make it CRYSTAL CLEAR that this issue is not only with your car but the WHOLE GT500 line from 2020 to 2023, and if I were you, I would go through this thread and write down what everyones done and this way he might not be so quick to claim a "Bad Weld at the frame". And IF he does figure it out and it is truly fixed, send his ASS to NJ :D

See I'm not a "all talk" kinda chick, I would do it to prove a point and they know that. I wanted this car and they will fix it or we will go to the next level, it started in November couldn't get my car in until April. I have 35,837 miles on it and it had 78 miles on it when I bought it. I don't care what I have to do to get it fixed but it will get fixed. It's their obligation to fix it, I was told "since you have 100,000 miles bumper to bumper, you got plenty of time" that was when I took it in in April, no you're going to fix it. I will be a pesty bug flying around your face before I give up.
Ah my kinda a girl I would seriously tag team with you, between both of us we'd drive them insane with persistence to get shit done.

But I want to ask you about this 100,000 bumper to bumper warranty, There is NO ford warranty that gives you that, care to splain how that came about? :D

Just an fyi. There is no “frame” on these cars. It’s a unibody construction. No one spot weld or substructure seam or weld will compromise the integrity of the structure as a whole. Secondly, a ford engineer nor any manufacturer engineer will make any type of statement like that. In almost three decades in the collission industry I can count on one hand where I’ve ever seen a failed spot weld or seam. You’d be surprised how much actual pressure it takes to actually make them fail intentionally. That’s the first thing that gets taught when teaching a new tech on what a frame machine will do if operated incorrectly. I do however agree on the Mercedes though. And if someone has a link to the 100k bumper to bumper please share it. I’d buy it in a heartbeat for my 500, as well as some of my other newer fords.

Yes, and this thread as well.

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...creak-while-turning-left.130806/#post-2994433

This was the end result - "Car spent over 70 days in the shop. Ford Engineer was flown to NJ and recommended replacing control arms. That didnt work, engineer returned and hooked chassis ears up to the car. It was diagnosed as a bad firewall weld. The fix is to pull the engine and dash and reweld the firewall. The engineer recommended my car as a candidate to be bought back. Ended up getting reacquired by Ford and I got a heritage edition 350R chassis # LR004"

This was in late 2019 early 2020 btw. You think Ford would have flagged this case so this problem wouldn't happen again, correct? Unacceptable to still have this in vehicles from the 2020-2023 model year.

I bought the extended warranty when I bought the car.

I will definitely show him all that is on here, so maybe they will get their shit together and fix the issue.

Also, my previous mustang i had I financed it through my work credit union and I had 130,000 bumper to bumper through them. I didn't get this one through them because my interest rate through my bank was cheaper.

So this isnt a Ford Warranty, because their Extended ESP is not bumper to bumper, because I have their Extended warranty for 8 yrs and it clearly isnt bumper to bumper. and this has never been offered to me from Ford, which is why I am utterly curious and interested, unless this is a State thing at which point the dream dies.

Welp i got my car back about 1.5 months ago, they said they re-torqued something by the firewall, I paid attention for the 1st few days didn't hear it so paid no more attention until July 16th heard it again. I took my car back they are saying " we can't duplicate it", they rode with me 1.5 months ago and heard it why does it need to be duplicated. I have it on recording so I called Ford and opened up a case and they have reached out to Akins, we shall see what happens might have to take it to another dealership.
Hello. Do you know what exactly did they retorque by the firewall? I find it curious, that for some people replacing the steering shafts solves the issue but the noise then returns. I wonder if what they retorqued in your car, gets algo retorqued when replacing steering column components. They replaced the steering shafts on mine along with the yolk and the noise went away for about 4 months, then it came back. Could you ask your service advisor exactly what did they retorque?

He said there are 3 plates by the steering column they took those apart and retorqued them back

Mike (AOD), this issue has been bugging me for some time as well on a couple of cars. I finally got around to doing a little video comparison from under the car. First video is of a 2022 car, 4k miles, gently used, car. Second video is of a 2020 car, 10k mile, track use. The older car has the "front end noise mystery while turn all the way to the left", the newer car doesn't. Sounds like it's a steering rack issue to me. What say you all? (Both GT500s)

2022 low miles

2020 used hard and put away wet

@cerbomark
I m just guessing here but I don t think that play is the one pop you sometimes here after backing and then turning left. I don t know the system well but on a new Subaru they were replacing a small spring somewhere in the system which was the cause of what you would hear in that second vid you posted. Last time I was under the car and it was off the ground I put my hand on the steering shaft and it made what sounded like that one pop. I coulndn t reproduce after the first time. I just think what you posted is another story????
BTW, the Subaru symptom was a rattle when going over uneven roads which I think you d have with that second vid.... but your cars too loud to hear it, LOL. Or the big heavy wheels hold it from doing that???

That is a whole different issue then what is being discussed, that could very well be something else or loosening of the u joint or some give, I will make a video of my sound, which is the same as another member here did which only occurs when hard locked left, the motion of moving it slightly back and forth does not create this issue like you have, yours clearly is a steering rack issue.
