Hey! I'm really happy to hear that you were able to speak with Paul and that you got a game plan together!I want to say I appreciate the offers from a couple of you guys out there with my situation. Thank you!
I have to say I was blown away today when I answered my phone and the man himself, Paul Meister, was on the phone to say he was flying here next week to help with my situation.
He told me of the number of tunes that have been successful with the BAMA guys and really is concerned what went wrong. He's bringing a fresh tuner as well as tunes so we can go play on the freeway!
I feel confident enough with the way this is being handled that I just bought my self a Christmas present from American Muscle. A new cold-air Airaid! It will be here by the time we tune!
GOOD DEAL!Update: ALL BUENO! ALL fast as shit BUENO!
Just had time to run it after Paul sent me a new X4 and tunes. Since I started the thread I added the AirAid cold air intake from American Muscle so he tuned for that.
Also I did my SCT updates and installs from a computer with the old Windows programs since Windows 8 seemed to have been part of the issue.
Thanks to the Bama team and American Muscle for working with me on this.
I never knew a Mustang GT could be so scarey-fast.
Oh yeah, and it doesn't make a noises from under the car except a sweeeet roar when I nail it. :headbonk:
Glad you got it worked out, ActiveGT.Update: ALL BUENO! ALL fast as shit BUENO!

Which Bama tune did you load on your car? I received two tunes from Bama. The one I have loaded now is the "street" or "performance" tune. Can't remember the exact name. I'm very pleased with this tune and I'm about to load the "track" tune, which I'm assuming will provide even more performance (higher HP and torgue).
A question for those who are more experienced with using these tunes -- I don't suppose running the more aggressive, track tune has any downsides, like significantly lower MPGs or too much stress on the engine and drive train?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts you guys might have.
Yes, I think what I have loaded now is the sport tune. Just looking for thoughts on running the track tune long term. I'm assuming there are no drawbacks to doing so.First time around I had the sport and the track tunes. Neither worked for me. Turned out maybe an issue with the first tuner, not the tunes so they sent a new tuner and he rewrote the tune to go with the Airaid, which I didn't have when I bought the first X4. After talking to Paul I decided I might as well bite the bullet and get it now so he sent a tune specifically for that. I already had the Ford Racing sport exhaust.
The only upgrade I see in the future is new tires every few thousand miles.
I wouldn't think so. I honestly am not sure of the differences even though I had both. I'm thinking running 93 all the time.Yes, I think what I have loaded now is the sport tune. Just looking for thoughts on running the track tune long term. I'm assuming there are no drawbacks to doing so.

Is the tune from that car, the one you sent him?Bama has tuned a couple hundred 2015's already with absolutely no issues. Our customers are very happy with their tunes and the OP's been having technical issues that are unrelated. Our lead calibrator is going to be in the area next week on vacation and has already set up time to meet!
For your viewing pleasure:
I haven't dynoed it. Probably never will. I can say with no doubt there is a noticeable, if not almost radical, change in the vehicle with the mods. I am sure the exhaust probably is the least effective but made it sound bad-azz. The Airaid was installed and driven before the program and really made no noticeable difference. The program woke the car up. I have to assume the 3 in conjunction did the trick. What did it make on the Dyno?
Glad I don't have to mess with updating my programmer. Only mac in this house.
Hey Active - Thanks for taking the time to post this up - I'm very happy to hear that Paul and the Bama team were able to have this sorted for you! You know where to find either Paul or myself if you're to have any questions at all about anything! We're literally here to help around the clock!!Update: ALL BUENO! ALL fast as shit BUENO!

Hey Beau - Bama's X4/SF4 Power Flash Tuner will come with a Sport and Track tune and there's absolutely no negative aspect to running the Track tune every day aside from the drop in fuel consumption. This is a tool to extract the most performance possible and while we'll see members on many forums saying that their consumption improved it's tough to measure this as when we're running the track tune we're driving a little more spiritedly!Glad you got it worked out, ActiveGT.

Aside from the childish grin that's going to be on your face and the tires deteriorating there's zero drawbacks!I'm assuming there are no drawbacks to doing so.

The main difference between both is that the Track tune is designed to yield the maximum amount of horsepower and torque while the Sport is more of the bump around town or highway driving tune.
Hope this helps!
I'm honestly surprised they're still on the back of the car right now!
