Anyone know how to update? When I tried to said to put a new SD card in? Can it be updated via internet? I live in a home that was built last year and the street and surrounding neighborhood does not show up on the Navigation maps.

I've been wondering this myself - but for my Wifes '12 Explorer. I think the only way to update is to buy a new SD Card with the latest maps.

With that said, I'd think our '15s have the newest available.

You are right about that. You have to buy a new SD card to update the nav. Sorry!

Correct! You have to get a new SD card to update your navigation unit. My dealer confirmed this last week.

I'm kind of bummed out with the navigation in my car. I went on a highway that was completed about 2 years ago and clicked over to my nav screen to find it showing me driving thru the middle of a field.

Hopefully the new SD cards are not ridiculously overpriced. I know when I had my Lincoln LS the updated navigation DVD was some $700 from the dealership. Highway robbery if you ask me.

Hmmm, that does suck on it not showing the updated area.

My assumption on pricing is.....$75-100 to get the updated SD card. My Nissan updates were between $90-100 and those were DVD based.

I need to tell my Ford Salesperson about having to buy a SD card to update Navigation.
He assured me that all I had to do was remove the card, put it in a PC card reader/writer, and download map updates from Ford. $100-$700 updates are truly ripoffs. I have a add-on GPS that has 3 month updates and pay a nominal fee for internet downloads.

The navigation update is part of the 5 year complimentary service. You should be able to update by inserting the sd into your computer. Sync also has wifi services, so maybe it's possible to update it through sync while connected to wifi. I am less than pleased with the navigation as well. It's ok, but I much prefer my garmin.

My wife has a 2011 Edge. Ford has twice mailed us an updated NAV SD card free of charge.

Totally confused...my dealer and comments in Forum imply that updates for Navigation in the Mustang is via an SD card. I just looked at the Ford's Navigation Update website, and it shows the updates being entered via a DVD. "Insert the DVD and follow screen instructions". The Ford website shows the 2015 Mustang as being one of the vehicles that uses a DVD for updating.
The newest version is V7.0 for $149.

From the confusion that exists within Ford Corporation concerning ordering a new Mustang, perhaps Ford doesn't know that Mustangs are being updated via SD cards rather than DVDs!
