Tire Pressure

Hello All,
Im wondering what tire pressure numbers people are using for 285/35/19 set up? I' have the continentals sport contact all seasons and I ve been keeping the tire psi at 35.

I'm using a 19x10 rim with that tire size.

I've be using 33 psi / 2.27 bar for the last two years and it seems to be doing just fine. I have a predominantly flat tread pattern with just a bit of additional wear on the inner and outer edge.

I use an Autometer 2160 pressure Milton tread depth gauges. Factory alignment.

Pressures are manually checked often. Tread depth is measured and recorded a few times a year.

32 psi. When it’s cold, it goes down to 30psi (which is still okay) and when it’s warm, it goes up to 33psi.

you must not see much range in temps, 1psi is usually around 10 degrees. Mine might be 30 psi one day if it's 25 and if it hits 68 degrees that week they'll be up to 38

In the winter, I usually go to 33 or 34 psi. It gets cold enough the pressures will drop to 31-32 (sometimes even 30) but after driving around for a bit they go back up. Summer time I usually stick to 32, doesn’t take much driving in the summer for the tires to get up to 34-35psi.

You guys have them bumped up far more than I do.

I run the following:

31 cold on my fronts
28 cold on my rears but this year may drop that down to like 26 cold on the rear

When you say inside, do you mean the middle of the tire or the edge that's 'inside' the car?

35 cold all year long even though temps can go from 40 or colder in winter to 115 in July here in Vegas.

I have 285/35 R19 on a 19x10 wheel. I keep it at manufacture specs. 32psi cold.

32 PSI cold is what Ford recommends, as well as Michelin. But your tire PSI should be determined by you. Use some colored sharpie or other marker and draw a line across the tire tread. You'll be able to see after driving just a few miles what area of the tire is wearing the fastest. Then adjust PIS accordingly, higher psi if the outside edges are wearing faster and lower psi if the inside is wearing faster

FYI: I run 32 psi cold, ~35 warm

Yup. I'm run my front at 40psi and 37 psi rear with the conti DWS06. I never run them softer than that. The max psi is 51psi I believe... The tires wear nice and even and I don't have any traction issues. Running them to soft will make the tire more prone to a sidewalk pinch and or and bend rim if you hit a pot hole.
