So.... How fast has everyone gone in their new Mustang's? Please don't give sufficient detail to incriminate yourself.

120MPH... probably would have went faster (Definitely could have), but there is too much traffic this time of year, particularly if the weather is good. I have to say that the "Track mode" seems to have better response at higher speeds.

I think I've gotten it to about 74 or so? Still breaking in the engine, but I start to get afraid of getting pulled over once the needle swings past 70 (a ticket for 89 in a 65 from four years ago has me skittish).

110 so far, on a section of 5 lane highway that was completely empty at the time (surprisingly, which is what lead to that speed). I could have gone faster, but didn't. It sure didn't feel like 110.

Really Guys? You breaking the law and putting in danger other people's life. Grow up, this is a shame and not something you should be proud of
I don't think anyone is "proud" of this. If you are out in the middle of nowhere, no one is on the road and no homes/buildings are around I find it okay it open it up a little. Be "smart" about it, do it by minimizing as many risks as you can and have a WOT blast for a short stretch. If you can't manage those conditions, take it to the track. Is it illegal? Sure is, but so is rolling that stop sign or not signaling that turn like every 99.999% of every driver is breaking on the road. Like every other thing in life try to minimize risks and keep it as safe as possible. Make sure the only person that can get hurt is you. Thats all I will say before this thread invariably goes to Hell. ;)

I went 65. THROUGH A SCHOOL ZONE FILLED WITH ORPHANS AND PUPPIES WITH A LIMP.

Honestly haven't even really driven it much at normal highway speeds yet.
You think you are funny? Not a bit......

I took mine to 110, screw a break in period. It was on 495 and anyone who has driven that stretch along the DE river knows that if you do less than 80 you're going way too slow

I don't think I've cracked 100 yet, but I've done quite a few hard acceleration pulls through 3rd gear.

I was waiting for this comment, and then at the end say, "But while we're on the topic, I did hit 140 the other day."

That would have been so much funnier.

Oh give me a break. You don't buy a Mustang to drive like a grandma. We don't need forum nannies.
