If my chassis is k1993, could there be another k1993 with a different vin number or is it singular?

Thank you. I was trying to find and by my original owners supplement but the guy seems to have a different vin with the same chassis. The vin ends in 50 and I end in 18. Do you think it’s real?

Are you referring to the welcome package that includes the FPC model, or are you referring to the gt350 supplement that goes in the glove box?

Just the chassis number is shown on the model.

Check your year for what should be included:

I’m talking about the gift which was called the Owners Supplement Kit? It should have a crankshaft which it does but also the certificate has the wrong vin.

Oh gotcha….. sorry I’m not 100% up on the lingo ;)

Interesting it has a different vin. If it was an error from ford performance, if you emailed them once you have possession they might send you a new one.

Have you run his VIN and your VIN through a vin decoder to see if they’re both gt350’s? Does he have any pics of his old car from his time during ownership and are they identical color/stripes/options? Does he still have the window sticker (or a picture of it) which would also show his VIN?

He’s kinda starting to not trust me and I just asked him if he ever owned it.

Odd he thought to blackout the vin….. if I was communicating with the new owner of my old car, what could possibly be to gain from blacking out the vin? He doesn’t own the car anymore any you now own it. Seems a little strange.

I’d lay out your concerns for him directly and ask for further evidence because you’re worried about it being a fake.

If I’m being a skeptical person….Seems like it would be fairly easy to take an owners package and change the chassis number plaque to match your perspective buyers chassis number through photoshop first, then have a plaque made before shipping (which I assume you gave him by asking if anyone had k1993 package.). If he didn’t have your vin he couldn’t change that on the certificate. It would be easy enough to scan, change, and reprint the certificate with your cars info. . . maybe someone is taking their unsold welcome package and trying to turn it into your lost arc.

UPDATE - SCAMMER! I was looking for my owners supplement kit and he photoshopped previous photos of certificates. Beware.

He is obviously not a good scammer… if he was a wise scammer, he would have blacked out the last 7 digits of the VIN.
For 2019, the first 10 digits are all the same “1FA6P8JZ5K…” at least for the non R models in believe. (I could be wrong?)

Well, it was obviously wrong because the last vin number wasn't the same as mine. But the chassis number was. So it was photoshopped.
