any emotion here must be coming from you because it sure as shit ain't me. go take a midol.

lets recap this shitshow, shall we?

me "here's why I'm doing this idea, the manufacturer said it was a good idea."

you "that idea is bad and you should listen to the manufacturer"

video of the manufacturer "this is an idea i'm trying out for these good reasons"

also you "NO NO ONLY listen to the manufacturer when it supports my uneducated viewpoints"
I didn't mean to upset you, and you have the birth right to not be upset. Please put your helmet back on before you start hitting your head again. But before you do that, tell me where in the kit you bought why it doesn't come with just rear pucks and some tube of shit from Home Depot?

don't worry, you haven't upset anyone.

again, here is the inventor of that kit and owner of that company is here in living color explaining how and why you are wrong:

but feel free to be a pedantic troll in lieu of actually thinking. free country.

The name calling, another identifier of the emotional. You are installing the kit you purchased improperly. It is what it is. Like I said, do what you do. It's your car!

I know time is valuable. If you are close to SW Ohio, I'd gladly help you drop the cradle to install the fronts.

Post a link to the kelltrac kit with 2 lockouts and a tube of Window Weld. I'll wait. You said yourself you are installing half the kit. It's because you don't want to drop the cradle to in stall your kit properly. Again it's your car, do what you want.

I may actually buy a few kits, split them and add in some Window Weld to sell. For the "time savers" out there. Descriptor chosen carefully as to accurately portray, yet not offend.

I am impressed that you stuck to your guns on that though. Admirable in a nostalgic way I suppose. Anyhow, carry on!

If you think you’re going to have the last word with Oakley, you’re sadly mistaken.

Question between all the back and forth banter here - I did this upgrade this past spring. Looking at the orientation of the bolts, I did mine the other way than what the OP posted here. Head of the bolt on the diff side since it required less grinding of the diff for the bolt to sit flush.

For the frontward bolts, I did head of the bolt on the bushing side and nuts on the diff side since there was room. Not sure any of this matters, but just wanted to post it up. I did drop the cradle. 😁

I'm impressed that you're still ignorant or dishonest enough to pretend the MFG didn't suggest this.
just give kelltrac credit when you rip off their idea.

Tolerable to me. More gear noise for sure, but nothing that I would call obnoxious. I have 4.09 gears in the car, so might be a bit worse in my case.

Again with the name calling. Just relax, no need to get upset. After all you are the one incorrectly installing the kit you purchased.

yeah that's the main reason why i'm trying out this setup first. my cobra had 4.10's and poly everywhere that didn't have delrin or pillowball and it got old quick on rood trips.
