This is what our internal team recommended when setting up that package on your Mustang:

On his car, we would typically start with the rear bar on the middle setting and the front bar one in from full soft.

After this, he would evaluate the results and make the adjustment to just one bar at a time until he has the results he is looking for.

Best,

I forgot to add, many competitors that autocross Mach 1’s in F-street (rules state you can only change one bar-both both) are using the competition rear bar from Steeda to soften the rear. If I couldn’t change both bars that’s what I’d do, but I’m different. I autocross and open track occasionally so not worried about classes. I wish the car had more roll stiffness but I cannot tolerate any more drop in ride height with the lower splitter nor a more firm ride for the road trips I take with my wife. This is the best compromise. I know the Steeda dual rates can be paired with spacers from Steeda to raise the front and rear back to stock ride height, but I’m really happy with the HP springs. I feel the car just needs more roll stiffness and the ability to soften the rear end for better balance.
I'm thinking dual rate springs and Steeda competition rear sway bar only. From the OPs table on page 1, the front sway bar on HP and no-HP cars are the same. Any thoughts?

I think if you have a non-HP car you will tend to understeer because of the 255 front tires and you'll need MORE rear bar, not less like the Steeda competition bar. I'm not an expert but seems to me that the Steeda front/rear bar kit is much better suited to non-HP cars.

I have the HP wheel setup. Since I’m doing camber plates, I thought I might as well do springs, which led me to thinking about sways next (essentially Steeda’s Nurburg package). I am just trying to figure out if really need both sways, just the rear, or none.

Mach 1 with Handling Pack springs, camber plates and wheels, I swapped out the solid HP rear bar and installed a 3 way adjustable rear bar, same thickness, this was the only change made at that time. Ran the new bar on the centre holes.
Ive since gone back to the outer holes, this leaves the new bar set closest to the HP bar in terms of fitment. Car now feels much better to drive, far more balanced.

Steering felt pointier with the new bar set to centre holes, straight line stability was not as good, car felt less stable on the freeway, when cornering you could feel more oversteer and easier turn in but still felt a little unbalanced.

I can say that a more aggressive rear bar change on its own was not something Id recommend.
Changing both front and rear bars at the same time may be a better option.

Actually, a softer than stock rear bar is recommended for track use but I agree, that without changing the front bar, it may or may not upset the balance of the car. That’s what I’m trying to figure out. Probably an all or nothing approach. Sale ends today and the bars have a decent discount 🤔

Yes, agree on the "do both or none" approach.

I'm tempted to fit the original non-HP Mach 1 rear bar, being hollow it fits the requirement of being softer than the stock solid HP bar.

If you're doing dual rate springs, both matching Steeda bars would be on my list, wouldn't do the springs without them.

I went on for the magneride Ford Performance track pack suspension kit, and the only issue I encountered is that the software this far could not be installed

Still emailing back and forth with FP, I am on hold at the moment

But my interpretation with the info I currently have is that the software in that particular kit would potentially could have a negative impact vs the Non HP Mach1 for my car.

This weekend I have a Timeattack event, at my local track (f1 circuit in Mexico City) Last time with this setup I managed to climb to 3rd place in my category...

Setup:
Rear Sway Bar at the stiffest hole
Front Bar at the softer hole
Camber Plates maxed out ~-2° up front(also from Ford)

IMO Mach 1 Base with this OEM+ setup it's amazing

Throw some meatier and grippier tires on there and you’ll be #1

Yep non-HP cars are under-tired. Car understeers with 255's up front. Need to go square or at least wider fronts.

LOL yeah I do feel like it's pretty close to perfect, this will hopefully fix one of the areas that I've always wanted just a little bit more from. The wife and kids were pestering me for Christmas ideas so the bars will fit the bill, better than them guessing and getting crap I don't want.

It will be money better spent than on shoes anyway, she's got that covered... don't tell her I posted this pic, she'll kill me

Man, your wife finds out you posted a pic of the amount of shoes she has, I feel sorry for you. Your shits in the wind troop!! I will say she is approaching Imelda Marcos territory.
