Anyone know if your car will be held over the holidays if it is already built but still stuck at the plant? Will they be delivering during the holidays as well or will resume afterwards?

I call BS on that (although it may be wishful thinking). I can understand things not shipping during plant shut down from 12/24-1-2 but the entire month of January? For what purpose? They are in production that entire month for the most part; that is a lot of cars just sitting...although the early months sat for a very long time in QC.

When my uncle worked on an assembly line for Chrysler back in the day they would stop the line for 2 weeks to move workers around to different spots on the line and get everyone trained for their new spot. Keeps workers from getting complacent and bored.

Oh I get the line stopping. But built cars not shipping for 6 weeks? (Holidays plus January).

Yea I doubt it. I sure hope not though. That would probably push my delivery date well into march :/

Like I said, my views could easily be wishful thinking. My car has a blend date of 12/17....:ninja:

I received this from Rachel at FordService: "Your GT Convertible is scheduled to build early January, that first Monday actually (subject to change)." That's January 5th. Now that COTUS is live for convertibles it shows my ETA for delivery as 2/1/2015. So if these dates are even close to being in the ballpark they have to be building and shipping in January. Fingers crossed. Since I live in upstate New York I will only be sitting in it and staring at it for a few months if it does come on time anyhow. Maybe a couple of test drives if the roads are clear. However, as long as it is here by the end of March I'll be happy. :D

As long as your Mustangs are released from the plant prior to the 24th, they may ship, opensesame and Dragster. Any vehicles already "In Transit" will continue normally, although there may be a few pauses on the actual holidays.

I'm only planning on being out December 25th and January 1st so I'll be here; got to keep an eye on those Ponies. :D

Probably resume in January. The whole thing is shut down the last 2 weeks of December.
Like you said, olla, the assembly plant is closed from December 24th to January 2nd.

I'm not aware of any transportation stops planned for January, Jrhogger. :)

Sharing my PM with the whole world, bogey928? :ninja: LOL; just kidding. Yep, those are the dates I'm seeing currently so the assembly plant is planning on building and shipping in January.

Sorry Rachel, I thought being forum members they had the proper top secret clearance! If you could push some of those magic buttons I am sure you have at your desk and move my GT Convertible up in the build queue it would keep me from spilling the beans again, I'm sure! :gossip:
