Hey,
I love how stacked injection looks on a mustang and wanted to know if anyone else has tried this and what issues they had if any? I am looking for a low maintenance ride but with stacked injection? By chance would my Ford dealer support any of these?
Thank you,
Chris

I meant to say S550 not S650 and I changed the title thanks for the feedback.
Anything is possible I guess, but I've never seen anyone do this on a S550. It does make an awesome noise, but 8300 dollars goes a long way towards a blower or turbo setup.

Well if you want less torque and horsepower go for it. Unless it's placed inside a seal plenum the cylinders are unable to talk to each other so all your reverse pressure pulses will not exist to fill the cylinders. But I agree, it would look cool.

Forget about the performance for a second, it's pretty impractical. It's a gimmick. Unless you have a specialized hood that can keep you from sucking in hot ass engine air, any gains you made will suffer from elevated IAT's.

Oh, you're not going to feature a hood or you're going to cut it so they're exposed? Welcome to never driving the car when it rains. You also have zero filtration so the first time you drive through dust or bugs or whatevs, it's all going through your motor.

Velocity stacks are a gimmick. They're not practical for anyone who actually uses the car. You get caught in a sprinkle and you're going to hydrolock your expensive motor.

Yeah, for old-school hot-rods.

It's just not practical with an S550, unless you're ready to mess your car up in several different ways.
Even then, I see these guys and open stacks and I always think "how sad is it you can't drive the car." You can't even take the car out on a drive to a movie or dinner and park it uncovered for fear of rain showers.

That and you can't drive the car (responsibly) through any real conditions because you're dumping dust, bugs, road grime, WATER and anything else you encounter directly into your motor. I have the same/similar complaint for guys who run a turbo guard instead of a filter, but at least most of them the intake is behind the hood and front radiator.

Like I said, it's a gimmick. It's for show queens or flat out fair weather race cars. Not a practical application for anyone who drives their car even moderately.
