I think it’s one of the best colors Ford ever put on a mustang. If I had the money and the privilege to order the new Mustang GTD I would spec it out in FJG with the orange calipers and the same color wheels as the Mach 1 with the side stripes to match. That would be way cool.

It's the same exact color as Cactus Gray on the Mavericks and Broncos. They just changed the name for the Mach1 to make it "special". Sorry. I always thought it was different but it isn't.

When I was looking for my new Mach 1, my wife didn’t like FJG in pictures, but when I found one locally to see in person she was insisting we buy it right on the spot! It’s a great color package overall with the orange trim.

Its really primer gray with a hint of green, but comes with cool orange painted calipers and pin striping. :giggle:

I had a FJG ‘22 and yes, it’s cool and I liked it a lot.

But then I got an Oxford White ‘23 with the black/red stripes and wow! If mine had only had red calipers but soon enough…

I like the orange accents, too. They would also look good on white, silver, and eruption green cars.

Yes, the FJG is in fact Cactus Grey, it is registered as such in ETIS :). It is also a color which encourages an opinion. I already overheards strangers talking about my color, expressing their appreciation, critique, etc. Got quite a few compliments for the color in particular too from people I would not imagine were into cars or car colors.

When I saw the first ads (which were at the time uniquely with FJG and VB) I liked both on paper and thought either one would be fine, considering the other colors either too flashy or too "standard". After I saw the real pics posted here, I realized I would take any color as all looked great. All except the black one, but not because I do not like black cars, but because it is just not "my car color".

I believe Ford could have done an "appearance package" for any color, with colored seat stitching, seat details, calipers etc and they would all look great. The car definitely has the potential. They did not I assume because of the cost.

Anyway, after living with the FJG for more than a year, it has grown on me. It could be as bland as a primer under a bland light and it could get and reflect interesting subtones when exposed to more accentuated lights - typically at sunrise, sunset, in a greenery, or in neon lights in night. Sometimes I am surprised myself, how it looks.

welcome to the Grey Mustang club…Avalanche Grey was just the precursor to FJG, and I’m still waiting to find one to park next to for comparison 😬

my cars are usually a bit louder in color, but I’m convinced the subtle Grey has actually kept me out of more than one ticket situation 😂

Opinions are like....well you know. From my experience, about 95% of the time people love it-especially non-mustang owners at shows. I hear the occasional "primer" knock but that is usually from someone with a red or black (so original 🙄) car. I had a 2016 comp orange GT so for me the orange accents are a nice tie to that car. I loved this color the first time I saw it at Ford Carlisle when it debuted. The green/gray has become pretty prevalent as noted on other Ford vehicles but the Mach 1 was at the leading edge of that trend.

Not a great comparison pic but one I got of my FJG next to an avalanche gray GT350 back when mine was new. This Shelby actually belonged to another forum member here who has since sold it and has a blue M1.

when they dropped the announcement with the FJG w handling pack front and center it litterally made me stop and go

damn... uhhhh let me call my ford dealer.
I was shopping around for everything but the current mustang. It made me go from gently used sport cars to convincing me to buy my first brand new car.

I love it
Car people are always on fence
Get a lot of compliments from non car people.

enjoy till the next "new IT color" pops up. 🍻

I fell in love with this color after watching this youtube review below. I get tons of compliments on the color and car in general.

^^^^ I often wonder if another YouTuber's or one of their other thumb nails has become so attached to the car as that one has. That pic is so nice and captures the car in such a magazine esque way that nobody else has really done.

Ford had it as a picture during the mach 1 track attack pre dinner power point when I did it. 🤷🏻‍♂️
