The bass wavelengths are longer (peaks and valleys are spaced further apart) and create more air pressure, thus creating the drone at certain frequency.
It's that low resonance that creates the drone.

If you think of the exhaust system as one long speaker, it makes sense.
On an audio system you will never get the treble or midrange speakers to reproduce those low bass tones, they will not vibrate or rattle the inside of your vehicle, even if they do go in and out of phase. Add some 18" subs in the back and when they hit the right low frequency, rattle boom, bam drone.

There are some ways to combat this, thus the reason Corsa uses their RSC system, which tries to emulate the same lower frequencies, thus canceling them out.

I have a firm grasp of how drone works and that is a great explanation of the effects of deeper tones on drone. However, my point is that this exhaust setup has very deep tones and sounds fantastic in person.

No I do not. I used to work for a vendor that was an authorized Corsa Performance Exhaust dealer/distibutor. I have a some good friends within the company and after I ordered the vehicle I contacted one of them (a welder) and asked if he knew whether or not they had a car lined up for R&D purposes. This led to discussions with the lead engineer and ultimately an agreement for them to use my car. Corsa is truly a class act operation and I'm glad to have been fortunate enough to have taken part in this experience. I can't give any further information regarding release, Dyno graphs, power, or even photos of the design as that is for Corsa Performance Exhaust themselves to distribute and not my role in this endeavor. I promise you, those who wait for this system will not be disappointed by any means. It's a fantastic setup!

Quick question, in the one video it sounds really quiet at idle from the outside. I have a corsa sport on my challenger rt and it sounds great when ur first fires up but gets near silent after like 10 seconds.

That's how just about every Corsa setup is. My '06 does the exact same thing (Cammed with Kooks LTs, catted-x, and Corsa Xtremes) . Idle is very quiet shortly after start-up.

We can't wait until the new Corsa systems are available for Purchase. Right now Corsa hasn't released any information yet but we will keep everyone up to date on any information we get from Corsa.
