So,

Went to the dealer this evening to drop off my winter tires and wheels so they have them when my car comes in on the 18th (which actually got updated to the 13th today).

I walk in, my salesman greets me right away and says "I have something to show you before we unload your wheels". Takes me into the basement and lo and behold, there is may car! Just off the truck a couple hours earlier.

Ya! Started her up and gave it a quick once over - looking for panel gaps/alignment issues. Looks pretty good overall, but the passenger door where it meets rear quarter panel seems to be fairly tight.

But more concerning: at the driver door bottom 'corner' where it meets with the front fender, there is a gap between the fender and door - actually not so much a gap, but it seems the door is not flush, it sits in a bit so you can actually see into the fender.

They had one other mustang in the showroom and it seemed to have the same gap. Hard to tell if it was the same (definitely wasn't worse) as the car was black.

Passenger door on both vehicles did not have the same space.

Anyone else have this? Is this something (as well as 'tight' gap on passenger door) that can be adjusted for?

Ow, really ... that doesn't look like a sticker at all.

On Topic: Others have reported misalignment issues with various body panels on this forum. Not sure what they all did in the end to resolve it. I would figure you could still refuse to take it and have them work it out. (It'd be hard, I know).

That statement was meant as a sarcastic joke.

I have yet to find 100% pefectly aligned panel on any Ford. It doesnt seem to be too bad from the photo but then again its a bit hard to tell. Let the manager know and see what he can do about it. I hope it gets resolved.

I'm digging that Cavalier with a hood scoop in the background. Must be in the basement because it's too sweet for the street.

These are american mass produced cars, little gaps here and there are common. This is a Ford not a Benz.

I don't this he gap issues most of us are experancing is normal for any company nowadays . My girls 2012 focus was perfect on the panel alignment . My 2015 mustang is horrific . Doors, bumper and trunk all crap. Rear quarter panel is digging into my taillight. That's not normal by any means.

Ya. True. I do think it is a little worse than what the photo shows. My salesman said he'd his guy to look at it and see if anything can be done.

Lol, I didn't even notice it - when I was there or in the picture.

Ya, I am not going to lose sleep over it, still would be nice if it wasn't there.

To add some useful insight to this thread after my Cavalier comment :D... I have found 2 areas of misalignment on my car... one on the driver's side fender where it comes to a point above the headlight... sits a little high compared to the hood (I've tried adjusting the bump stop of the hood and it's definitely the fender out of alignment), and another is the rear panel between the tail lights. The gap between panel and light is wider on drivers side compared to passenger but because it's all black around there, I didn't notice it until like a month after purchase.

I for one will not be taking it back to the dealer to have fixed. I just don't trust them to fix it properly and not cause something else to go out of alignment, or even damage something else. It's something that 99% of people would never notice and I forget they're there most of the time myself.

There is a certain "acceptable" level of panel gap since the car is mass produced, but personally for a 2015 I would see what they can do about that front fender. It doesn't seem lined up properly

Beautiful car nonetheless! Congratulations

European built Fords don't seem to have this problem. They better step up their game if they want to sell these US produced cars to us. European customers would not be amused by this much sloppyness.
