Greetings everyone,

something i noticed, as a NJ mustang owner in central jersey, whenever I pass another mustang, there’s no friendly gesture or acknowledgment of passing by one another. To the point where I get caught off guard when a fellow mustang owner flashes their high beams or waves in appreciation that we both drive enjoyable cars because I am so used to other mustangs simply driving by like any other car.

sure my part of jersey is definitely dominated by subies, euros, and teslas and jersey folk aren’t always the friendliest people but I would love to always say hi to all fellow mustang owners I pass by rather than feel caught off guard and have a delayed reaction of saying hello when another owner does.

just throwing it out there my experience, it is a silly thought but certainly something I notice in my driving thoughts.

feel free to share any experience friendly experiences around NJ/northeast or whatever area you all drive your mustangs

I find mustang owners in general to not be very engaging, or in all the wrong ways.

If you want road salutes, buy a Jeep, the bulk of that community is super friendly.

I rip down rt1 daily, from pa to plainsboro or South Bruns. Been doing it for far too long.

I am in Essex County NJ and do feel that 9/10 Mustang owners acknowledge my GT. But it could be more so because I drive a convertible and when the top is down, it’s like an open invitation.

When I pass tinted out fast backs with their windows up, its hard to see if they notice, so I usually rev it up a bit and mostly all of them rev it back.

It could also be that I am a load convertible on Mickey Thompson semi-slicks that make me hard to ignore, lol

I’m in north Jersey and always on the lookout to say hi to other mustang owners. Most stang owners wave or give thumbs up. Seems some younger drivers are less likely to acknowledge…doesn’t stop me from trying 😁

Hahaha nice dude, I don’t see that a lot convertible builds, they tend to be the older folk in their ecoboost

I’m sure I’ll give the thumbs up if I ever catch you with that Drag setup lol

I actually drove by a fellow gt owner giving me the thumbs up, me and my sorry ass was caught off guard so I hit The brakes and made sure i pulled the windows down and gave a thumbs up to a my fellow brethren

hope to give you the thumbs up sir, just trying to be more part of a solid community of fellow mustang owners 😆🤝👍

In Union county, I always make sure to flash the lights if you’re a “bougie” mustang. I’m not saying hi to ecos but if you’re a GT or above I’m saying hi.

This is kinda funny to me.

Years ago when I passed the 60 year mark my well-intentioned wife thought it would be a good idea for me to add a trike to my Harley stable and I finally gave in. Most of you know that it’s an age old non-optional custom that oncoming Harley riders acknowledge each other with the little Harley wave. Well, turns out that doesn’t apply to Harley trikes. It was like I had leprosy! I hated the thing anyway and soon 86ed it.

To your point and young at heart, i wouldn’t mind giving a thumbs up to good build ecoboost, coming from a 16 ecoboost as my first car on my own I actually got a way more waves than I thought from even Shelby owners lol, but having my gt for 3 years now, I think half of ecoboost owners bought the car for the name thinking it’s the v8s and owning the road similar vibe to bmw owners so they don’t know this solid community

not too long ago, while I was cruising home, I had a high schooler in a ecoboost convertible trying to tailgate me with his friends along, I had to show him the additional 4 cylinder Sauce
