Yeah dyno dynamics is not a mode, it is the type of dyno that they have. I went back through my texts and found it. Drum roll......

Baseline 333.5 hp
Gibson 349.6 hp

:eyebulge:

For comparison sake, most of us know that the F80 M4/M3 are putting out to the wheels what their crank rating is, on HG's Dyno Dynamics the M4 put down 360 hp, when there usual "real world" dyno jet numbers are around 420 at the wheels.
That sounds about right. Bone stock my 135i put down about 265 on a DD. Full bolt on (intake, downpipes, cat back, fmic and tune) it put down 353/442. Same day on a dynojet it put down 404/460

Gibson just sent my exhaust to my friends at Jet-Hot! Can't wait to get them back and on our car! Bummed I won't have it for this weekends Track Day!

Looks like some nice gains from the Gibson exhaust. The price is hard to beat as well, about 675 with the rebate they have going on now. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on it. Thanks again for all the great info and perspective.

Its very loud. Installed mine today, drones at very low rpm if you lug the engine. Have to stay in 5th at 60mph with PP gearing or its loud inside the car.

Is it like annoyingly loud ? Or is it loud that you can deal with. I just got mine delivered today was gonna get it installed Thursday.

I have the Gibson exhaust also. The first hundred miles or so the resonance/drone is pretty bad. After a couple of heat cycles, the drone gets better but like TNcoupe said, I don't shift to 6th until i am over about 62 MPH with the 3.73 gearing. The exhaust sounds amazing going through the gears and at idle. I think i understand why the big "suitcase" is under the car now. When you remove the resonator with ANY aftermarket exhaust, you will have resonance/drone no matter what. I daily drive my car and I am getting used to the exhaust.

Yep. I think I was first person to install this exhaust and switched to the ford touring which is quiet but nice tone.

I'll just say its probably not for most people but I came from a Cobra replica and the Mustang is quiet as a church mouse compared to that.

I was going to get Gibson at first, mainly because of the price, black tip option, and videos all sounded nice! Then i realized my wife would hate it if it is too loud or even worse has drone. It seems to me the suitcase helps with drone, so now I'm hooked on the Roush axle-back...just wish it came in black tips! It seems any straight-thru muffler with axle-back will give me the sound I desire...if not I can always do an X-pipe in the future to dump the suitcase!

For what is available now, I bet FR Sport axle-back and Magnaflow Comp axle-back will be similar to the Roush, but Roush beats them both on price....by quite a bit! Only downside is that they're not out yet...they say by end of December but one supplier told me he heard March...hope it is out soon as my car is about to ship!

Also weird that I cannot find any FR axle-backs with black tip option...appears to only be available on cat-backs?

You can make any exhaust you want black. Get some VHT high heat ceramic paint.

It's loud, but I love my gibson.

Yeah I plan to do that if I get the Roush, just didn't know how well it'll stick to chrome tips without doing some prep work, plus what it would do to the warranty of the system.
