Yes, I switched the original intake and grill for the Anderson carbon fiber composites and had it painted gloss black. If you go to the beginning of the thread, the attachment of all my parts is there.Did you paint the oil cooler and transmission cooler intakes in the fascia ? They appear gloss black ?
Indeed! The Mach1 looks very clean and tactfully done. Well done!Listen...
I didn't think silver wheels would work on fjg I was dead wrong
this also has expedited me getting a gt500 hood. Was there ever a convo of keeping the hood decal? I'm tempted to try that.
thank you for being the hero we need.
I know you can get them for about $350 that will run from the hood, the roof and the trunk.Car looks epic. I want that hood for my fjg mach 1 now. Thanks now I gotta spend more money... any idea how much a custom Mach 1 hood graphic would typically be? I feel like its a missing element. And any chance I could see your interior changes? Primarily the seat stitching. The standard leather seats look a little boring after a while.
Wait what? Nobody moves FROM Florida back to Maryland. Lol! You get tired of lower taxes and personal freedom. J/k, not really. Glad you have a mechanic you trust. That’s invaluable.I also have the full Steeda suspension kit but it isn’t installed yet. Hopefully next week. I have in the past used their full kit on my older S550. What he did with his car is a bit different because he has a Steeda numbered Mach1, which I just think is so cool. I was going to go that route because I don’t trust any mechanics in my area, because I don’t know them. Then I found my old mechanic from 25 years ago before I moved to Florida. So I am very happy I now have him in Maryland and only 10 minutes from my house.
Believe me, I can’t wait to get out of here. Either back to Florida or some other State that has no State taxes, friendlier people, low traffic, much better cost of living, etc. My second house in Florida I paid about $600k for and then spent another $200k on adding pool, 2000 square foot screened in porch, outdoor kitchen, etc. plus it had a 4 car garage that could hold 6 cars. It was on a really nice corner lot that backed up to the woods and the yard was huge. It would easily be a $3.5-$4 million dollars here in Montgomery County. Just a much better way of life all the way around. We miss it so much. I was supposed to be here for 3 years so my Son could go to school here. Then Covid happened and my Mom ended up with Alzheimer’s and my Brother died. So I literally got stuck here. Another 6 months she should be bad enough that I can put her into a home, so we will move back or to wherever we decide and put her in a home there. That day can’t come soon enough.Wait what? Nobody moves FROM Florida back to Maryland. Lol! You get tired of lower taxes and personal freedom. J/k, not really. Glad you have a mechanic you trust. That’s invaluable.
Mind sharing your mechanic's info with a fellow Maryland Mach 1 owner?I also have the full Steeda suspension kit but it isn’t installed yet. Hopefully next week. @traxiii did a custom decal on his 500 hood and it looks phenomenal.
of course not. I have a couple but I prefer to have my work done at a Dealer if they have a specialist. So Sheehy in Gaithersburg has a Mechanic names Courtney, super good guy and he has been there 30 years. He is the only one allowed to work on Ford GT’s and stuff. What is it that you need done? Depending on what it is, I may have someone better suited for you that doesn’t have a 3-4 week to see. Where in Md are you located?Mind sharing your mechanic's info with a fellow Maryland Mach 1 owner?
The engine was not lowered at all. The GT 500 hood provides enough clearance for the strut tower brace (STB). With respect to the standard Mach 1 package, it does include the price for the shaker hood if you want it. If you don’t want it, you receive a credit. Depending on how you want to configure your vehicle, Steeda will work with you, and if there is a difference in price, they will let you know.Good to see the Steeda STB works with the SC, or was it lowered? Very few STB options for superchargers.
Your order form shows base steeda conversion section has Mach 1 Shaker hood installed, was that already included in the price even you chose the optional SC and GT500 hood items?
