First off, I like louder exhaust. Gotta know from the sound that you've got something under the hood. Mine is the S.W. H-pipe and it simply sounds amazing. But, there is drone and in my car it's as others have basically described. Only real 'bad' time it occurs is usually cruising 55-60, in 6th gear with rpms around 1800-2000. It resonates pretty loud. I tend to drive the car in a more aggressive gear, so normally I don't shift to 6th until 65-70 out on the highway. I've never liked the feeling of an engine lugging along. I couldn't care less about the mileage being in the lower gears. When it drones, it's usually when I've been slowed down in traffic and have not downshifted. So, I'm in 6th, when I'd normally be in 5th. When the drone hits, it's just a reminder to downshift you dumbass! My kids (4 & 7) have complained that it is loud and hurts their ears. I'm sure it's worse in the back seat. I will be removing my S.W. H-Pipe Catback to sell it, so whatever I decide to put back on after going stock again I will be able to compare.

Bought 2 of these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bor-40842s/overview/ and paid $100 to weld them in. Re-used my factory tips.

I had Borla XR1's on my 13 F-150 with the 5.0. Great muffler, they sound a bit quiet to start, but once you get a couple thousand miles on 'em, the sound really wakes up! Nice deep tone, no drone at highway speeds.
