ive put around +5,000 miles on my corsa and have had this rattle for a while. it only happens in normal or sport, tbh it dosent really bother me because i typically keep it in track or when i put it in quiet im not punching it around so it dosent happen. i know its the actuators making the noise and i know its a common problem with corsas (after research) and have seen people talk to corsa to get new valves etc but i was wondering if there is another work around? is it just as simple as popping them off and retightening them? its definitely annoying being "forced" to only use 2 out of the 4 modes because it does sound horrible (like tin cans) when i get on the throttle in normal or sport. so if anyone has fixed the issue or can point me to the correct thread with the answer im looking for that would be great!

Not sure the solution on the Corsa, but even my OEM active exhaust does this in normal and sport modes. Quiet and Track are the only modes that sound "clean" and don't have the tinny/rattling noise.

I get that same rattle on normal and sport on my active Corsa Extremes as well. I thought maybe it was something I didnt quite do right while installing, but because, like you, I always keep it in Track or Quiet mode, I never really looked into it. So I am very curious as well if there is a possible easy solution.

I had it as well on my 21. Absolutely hated driving the car so I eliminated the bottle neck I had off the headers and V-banded it to complete 3" and added a stainless Brothers true 3" resonator. It sounded amazing. For 2 track days 🤦I ended up blowing all the packing out of the resonator so now I'm going back to the 3" x pipe. I'm hoping it sounds better though then before because the 2.5" bottle neck to the 3" would create terrible resonance so I guess I'll see.

So you’re saying the SB resonator was making the rattling noise?

No. The initial rattle was from the valves. I hoped by eliminating the bottleneck and adding the SB resonator that it would eliminate all my problems and it did. The resonator took the high pitch nastiness away and also got rid of the little valve rattle I had until it blew apart. I now have 2 3 inch vibrant bullet style resonators and so far so good.

Thank you for the clarification. I have the same resonator and have now developed a bad rattle so trying to eliminate what it can be.

Check the welds around the resonator. Mine were blown apart. Especially if you are racing.

I have an active exhaust Corsa extreme and have the same rattle / ting sound you’re talking about. The problem is The active exhaust actuators need to be replaced.

I've had this rattle/tapping sound develop right after I installed my Corsa catback actives, at the rear Passenger side. They sent me replacement valves which did not fix it. Even sent just another passenger side valve after that, which still did not fix it. Mine sounded like a tin can tapping noise noticeable in Normal and slightly less in Sport modes. In Track and Drag modes it's practically gone - Or at least you can not hear it.

It's not there at all when cruising, but then happens when applying part throttle. It sounds more to me like the baffle is loose or not welded securely inside the muffler itself, and then when you apply exhaust pressure by applying the throttle, it rattles.

I live in the Dayton area and I am going to drive it out to Corsa's HQ in Columbus and see what they think, at some point. Like others here I've been a Corsa fan and installed on my past two Mustangs (Had the 2014 GT500 A/B's on my 2014 GT converted to quad exhaust, and then had the non-A/E Sport catbacks on my 2018 GT with the double-helix X-pipe. Both were FLAWLESS in sound and quality!) Have been pretty disappointed with these though. Hopefully they will identify what's up and take care of me when I get out there.

It’s that the rear bottom of the suitcase?
It is my middle stainless bros muffler/resonator. I have catless LTH’s and full Borla atak and the SB in the middle to quiet it down a bit.

Found the problem and you were right!

Exactly same as me. I would have expected the resonator to be better then that. I put 2 3" vibrant bullet resonators in now. I should have called SB and sent that resonator back to them. It was basically brand new.
